Got the pillow on time at the end of Sept via FedEx.
Worked great -
"I purchased the Skyrest pillow as an air traveler that NEVER can find
a way to sleep on airplanes. In anticipation for a long overnight
flight to Europe where it was imperative that I be fully functional the
next day, I purchased the Skyrest and it made all the difference in the
world. It only took twenty seconds to inflate, it fit perfectly on the
tray table in front of me and provided the optimal sleep position,
allowing me to pack in five and a half hours of much-needed sleeping time.
I give it five out of five stars."
Many thanks,
S.S. from Atanta, GA

More Reviews on the SkyRest Travel Pillow...
This person is able to sleep comfortably in any Seat! Can you say the same? Probably not, unless you have SkyRest.
SkyRest deflates and folds into an easy-to-pack size and shape. The large, removable inflation valve makes inflation and deflation a snap!
As you can see, SkyRest is unlike any other travel pillow. It's unique configuration allows it to be used in many ways. Besides the method shown, you can use it to prop up your feet on the plane or on the ground. Or, put it in the window and lean against it. Besides making a good sized pad to fill the gap, it will insulate against the very cold window. Under- inflated it can serve as a replacement for a standard bed pillow in your hotel room; use it to sit up and read or watch TV. Stuck at the airport? Find a seat, prop your feet up, hunker down and take a nap. The uses for SkyRest are really only limited by your imagination!
Here's what the travel experts and press are saying about SkyRest:
Dailycandy.com "The miraculous, wedge-shaped travel pillow makes even the most uncomfortable spots downright pleasant."
Dallas Morning News "But you can be...more comfortable with a SkyRest pillow...Simply lean forward and snooze, and the miles will fly by."
SkyRest has also been featured by USA Today, Peter Greenberg, and the Early Show on CBS.
Specifications:
Weight: 19 oz. Deflated Size: Variable. Inflated size: Rear height-15.5", Front Height-12", Width-16", Depth-12"
Notes: When the removable one-way inflation valve is removed, there is a large hole, allowing air to easily enter or exit the pillow. To inflate, simply pull out the corners to shape it into it's inflated shape, insert the valve and top off by mouth. To deflate, remove (unscrew) the valve and the pillow will deflate in a matter of seconds.

Order was as described and significantly less than other distributors listed on the internet. I received the item within a week of placing the order and recommended this purchase to someone in my travel...

Order from Skymall Instead

Even though I didn't even open the box, they will not allow me to return it. I was forced to order a competitive product because after I ordered this one, they told me it would be 2 weeks to ship. It didn't turn out to take that long to ship, but I already had the other product. Now they won't take it back. How many of these do you think a person needs?
Sleep until they bring the food around!

The Skyrest pillow worked great for me on my plane ride to and from the Middle East. I slept for three hours straight each time I layed my head to rest and probably would have kept on sleeping if my neighbor didn't wake me up to say they were coming around with the next meal.
The only draw back was when the guy in front of me leaned his chair back. That didn't leave me much room to sleep, let alone breath! (ha!) So, I sorta bumped the back of his chair a few times to give him the message that he was invading my space and he kindly moved his chair up some to give me a little breathing room.
Seriously though, the Skyrest pillow was a great investment. For ultra comfort, I used the little neck pillow they give you on the plane, placed it on top of the Skyrest pillow, tucked my hands in the little pocket around the front of the Skyrest pillow and let my head rest on the top. I slept like a baby while the other travelers around me looked on with jealousy as they tried to find something to do to keep their sanity while traveling a 12 hour flight.
If you'll be airborne for more than 2-3 hours at a time, I highly recommend this product.
Best Travel Pillow Ever
2008-04-11
This pillow changed plane travel for me. I am a travel agent and traveler. I simply cannot sleep with my neck vertical. I have to get my head side ways or I will just hover between sleep and wake. After years of restless travel and neck aches from trying to cram my head onto tray tables I found this pillow on line. Ok, I admit I felt a little silly when I pulled it out on the plane the first time but I arrived at my destination relatively well rested. Basically you can shove this thing into/on a variety of areas and angles and sort of get your weight on top of it with your neck supported in a horizontal position. If you are in a window seat you can also shove it in the crack and sort of "lie" on your side. If you are big or tall you may want to bring something else to put under it to lift it up a bit like a jacket or neck pillow. I can't say it will work for everybody but it really improved things for me. I tell a lot of my clients about it.
Great product, took to long to ship

Skyrest is a nice product. Seller took to 5 bus. days to ship for expedited shipping. Dissappointing as I was not able to take it on my trip.

SkyRest Travel Pillow The Skyrest Travel Pillow is unlike any other pillow you have ever seen! We have all been there before. Sitting in an uncomfortable plane seat, wishing someone would invent a pillow that would make it comfortable to sleep on an airplane. Well, look no further than the skyrest travel pillow! Just inflate it to the proper size and use! Skyrest Travel Pillow Specifications: Please contact your airline to determine if this is permitted to be used in an emergency aisle Weight: 19 oz. Folded and Deflated Size: Width: 9" Height: 4" Length: 11" Inflated size: Rear height: 15.5" Front Height: 12" Width: 16" Depth: 12" Frequently Asked Questions: When is the best time to inflate my pillow on a flight? It is best to wait until the seat belt sign is extinguished once you are in the air. The reason for this is that the cabin pressure will have stabilized by this time. If you inflate it too early you may have a problem with over-inflation, in which case the pillow will expand like a balloon. If this does happen, all you have to do is loosen the deflation valve until some pressure is released and the pillow returns to it's normal size. What if I'm in the middle or aisle seat and
Disappointment
2008-03-26
Sleeping with the head down as shown in the picture is not comfortable at all. Pillow didn't quiet fit the window opening. Best use it as a foot support if you blow it up real hard otherwise it rolls round like a round ball whenever you move your feet. I was disappointed.
LOVE the SkyRest!

We have three Sky Rest pillows and recently used them on a trip to Europe. They were wonderful! On the way over, I used it on my tray table as a pillow and was easily able to sleep leaning forward. On our return flight, we had an exit row with no seats in front of us. We loved putting our feet up on the Sky Rest pillows as a sort of ottoman. My husband, who is 6'5" has never been so comfortable on an airplane.
We are heading to Asia in March and will each be taking a Sky Rest
with us. We will also be recommending the Sky Rest to all of our
friends and family.
Good in theory, not in practice

Here's the issue--you lean on the pillow, the pillow is on the tray table, and the tray table is connected to the seat of the person in front of you.
So when you shift, they feel it. Leads to awkward social situations.
The construction of the product is good. When deflated, it is on the bulky side, though.
I bought mine a while ago, tried it a few times, and then put it away. Another issue is that this posture isn't really that comfortable, even if the seat in front of you is empty. In particular if the person in front doesn't have their seat reclined, you'll be pretty far forward.
I'm going to give this other product: "First Class Sleeper Travel Pillow" a try.
