Customer Reviews
Highly Recommended!!

After reading the other reviews, I decided to try this even though other reviewers had some gripes about it. I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews! I am a huge fan of the magazine, and now I will be able to read all of the issues in the entire run! PDF format makes it very portable and easy to use. Well worth the money if you enjoy the magazine - don't believe the negative reviews this product is awesome!
Nice to re-read the classic first ten years

It was nice to re-read the classic first ten years when Kenny and Beard were on board. I bought the first few issues while in VietNam and it was a blast of fresh air then and still a good read now. Some of Doug Kenny's articles are priceless. I continued reading the mag when I went back to college. Everyone in the dorm was a fan of the magazine. This product is a great way to collect the entire series.
Beware - not entirely complete

The first thing I looked for on this DVD was one of my favorite issues, "Self Indulgence" only to discover the 1973 issue #12 is missing pages 31-41. This was a comic page centerfold and had probably been ripped out of the copy which was scanned for this DVD. How many other issues have whole sections like this missing? Also for some reason my DVD-ROM drive was unable to access any of the program files on this disc. The only folders which show up are 1970's issues. I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat but it couldn't open the start file either. I tried it on a friends computer and it worked normally there. I don't know why my drive at home can't read it. I wrote to technical support at GIT almost a week ago, but I have received no response yet. I also mentioned the missing pages.
'Poon fans have reason to celebrate!

Although it is sometimes awkward maneuvering through the PDF documents it's all there - as a long-time subscriber, I've really enjoyed re-reading the articles and enjoying the cartoons
Acceptable, with reservations

First subscribed to NatLamp August 1970, magazine was great until it jumped the shark in the mid 80's, had every issue until the basement flooded in 1991 and destroyed my entire collection. I cried. Been waiting for this DVD for a loooong time. Only slightly disappointed. I was not really aware of the sheer number of advertisements in each issue, this DVD has them all. There is a National Lampoon "watermark" running across every page when displayed, not sure if that can be turned off but I find it very distracting and it interferes badly with some of the pages that didn't scan too well to begin with.
Loved seeing the "Trots and Bonnie" comics again, had forgotten how funny "True Facts" really was, and reading Chris Millers many pre-"Animal House" stories was icing on the cake.
Would have liked to have had a "search" function, for the price this is a decent piece of work. 4 stars.
Great magazine--lousy scan job

This collection takes me back to high school in the 70's. I read every issue of National Lampoon magazine during those years. It was the only source for humor. Sadly they could not publish that magazine in today's politically correct atmosphere. See what funny is and get this collection!
Don't shoot the dog!! I bought the thing!!

Hard to beat every issue of the National Lampoon. Granted, some of the them are pretty awful, but as a one time subscriber, it's nice to read the classics again without having to hunt them down at flea markets, antique shows and off Ebay. A pretty small price to pay for some classic comedy.

I was so pleased to find this product. I've been a huge fan of the NatLamp, but the last time i had seen it was after ordering the 1975 back issues about 25 years ago. Seeing all of those glorious issues again is a real treat. Most of these issues were just thumbnail size covers in an ad to me, but now I can pour through them issue by issue. I'm not sure I'll have too much interest in the late 80's through the 90's but I'll really dig the 70's.
The image quality is so-so, not anything that detracts from the content, it just could have been done with much more TLC. The price is certainly right. Highly recommended.
That's Not Sick! That's Funny!!

Whatever it's flaws, this remains a fun product that is worth the price. Every issue in the entire Lampoon run. Wow! That's a lot of laughs in a format that doesn't take up tons of space or cause a fire hazard.
