This case is just ok, not good not bad.
The good:
The Keychain attached to the case is a nice feature. It seems ok and not as bad like most users are saying.
It seems that it might do his principal job quite well: Protect the Zen generally.
The Bad:
Seems like if you force it in any way it could break.
It is way to tight, pressing buttons is not that comfortable and the space given to the headphones jack is not big enough for different types. ie: I couldn't plug my Aux cable, i had to take the case away to do this.
Anyways, the principal reason is to protect your player. This one will do his job quite well, but not in a great form. I haven't tried the other cases so I can't compare them. I hope this helps.
A little disappointed

I am not that impressed. Sure it protects your screen which is great but the screen for the cover gets scratched easily. I got it so that I could keep it in my pocket and every time I took it out of my jeans pocket it scratched the cover. Also the headphone jack is right next to the opening for those jacks. I have a headphone cable that won't fit in because the opening to the plastic cover is to small. Most normal headphone jacks work fine though. The stand is a nice feature. The clip idea is good and the unit itself has a nice snug fit. I think in the end though that I will return it for a leather case and screen protectors because of the scratches.

I bought 2 clear Zen cases and they work great. It completly encloses the Zen and keeps them clear of scratches and the elements.Zen Case (Clear)

I'm a little rough on consumer items; I use them. Looking at the condition of my clear caseafter jt one month and thinking that my Zen would look the same without the case, I am very glad I bought the case and didn't rely on the screen protectors. I even dropped my Zen on the floor once. The Zen is so small, I needed something larger just top have a good grip on it.
Great case so far....

Simple easy case to operate. I don't mind the carabiner ring. It does seem to be a little less intuitive than a traditionally shaped on might be, but I am more worried about the longevity of the fabric loop that the carabiner hooks through. This seems flimsy to me and likely will not last. Otherwise, just great. Button access is good (not great) but you do need to get used to the new feel that the case gives the player...

the case is great, the kick back stand was a smart idea. It just scratches so easily. Unfortunately, it's the best case to choose from.

I have this case for the new 32 mb Zen. Thank goodness, because without the clear, hard case, this player (due to the high gloss body) is extremely easy to smudge!
Yes, it adds a bit to the overall thickness to the player, but its really not that bad.
I do not have the contact point like others have mentioned, nor do I have any trouble using any of the controls due to the design. Maybe these flaws were batch-specific, I do not know.
The one small gripe I have is the cheap imitation leather that connects the keyring to the acrylic is so thin, that I'm afraid eventually it will just tear. Other than that, my review would be 5 starts...an awesome case for an awesome player!!
Zen Case Clear 2008-03-28
This clear case is ideal. Protects the screen as well as the rest of the player while allowing access to all the controls. I love it.
Not too bad 2008-03-25
I've read a lot of reviews indicating wet spots in the air space between the screen and the case. Mine has a little one, which is ~1/16 in., but it's an easy fix by taking the case off and cleaning the inside. I removed the key ring since it remains inside my pocket at the gym. This case is a little too thick, which impedes easy access to the sliding on/off button. A couple of small complaints, but don't get me wrong this is great case that is well made. I would recommend ordering one, great protection plus it's fairly cheap!
