I was pleased with this iPhone cover - when I first purchased my phone I dropped it multiple times and was very upset with how many dings I'd accumulated. This case has been wonderful!!! I have dropped it many more times since and still no issues. It protects my phone well. It also prevents it from sliding out of my scrub top pockets and fits nicely in my jeans pockets. the grip also prevents it from sliding off of my console while driving.
I love that it comes with a screen protector as well - as another review pointed out - be sure to put it on smoothly and slowly so that you avoid excess bubbles. I was very careful but still had a some bubbles present and after 3 months of use they are all gone.
I would definitely recommend this case to others.
Very happy with Revo Case for Apple iPhone 2008-03-13
I purchased this case two months ago and can say that I am very satisfied with it. It was not that hard to put it on. The privacy screen is very good. In addition to the privacy screen you have the protective screen. Even better. No chance of the phone screen being scratched. Very nice plus is that when you need to take off the protective screen you just put it in the back of the phone (has special grooves for it) and you do not have to worry about loosing it. I have already dropped the phone a few times and the phone was not scratched or anything. Do not have problems with the speakers, as I read someone else mentioned in their review. Can totally say that I am a very satisfied customer and am extremely happy that I purchased this case for my very overpriced phone.
Great rugged case - Throw away the screen shield & film 2008-01-13
The case itself is great - It's rugged and gives you more protection on the corners (the more vulnerable points of the phone if you drop it). It comes with a hard plastic screen shield and some small soft plastic film (to stick on your iPhone screen). I just threw those away and used a non-glare LCD screen protector (search for "iPhone LCD screen protector" here) film for the screen instead. The case does seem to attract lint when you put it in your pocket (a side effect of the non-slip property of the rubber used). Most of the lint comes off by itself when you handle the phone and it makes it look even more rugged when on. But if you are more on the neat-freak side, you might want to consider one the hard plastic case types instead.
Great Cover! 2008-01-13
Unlike many other covers I owned for numerous hand held devices, this doesn't only fit nicely on your iPhone but also seems to protect it from nasty falls (and yes if you use your phone often, it will happen regardless how careful you are).
I also would recommend you to get the Power Support Crystal Film Set for iPhone as it covers the entire front of the iPhone in addition to the privacy screen included with the iSkin revo (this only covers the screen). The Film Set, if applied correctly, is not distinguishable from the iPhone and does not decrease the screen quality.
Be aware that in the packaging is also a small plastic lens cover for the in-built camera (can easily be lost), the privacy screen (to protect your screen) that comes in addition to the plastic cover and a small rubber cover for the port at the bottom of the iPhone. Make sure all this is included.
Now, obviously this is not what the designers had in mind when they came up with the iPhone and any cover for the iPhone will decrease its appearance (its a rubber coat after all) and makes it look like a field laptop (the sturdy type used outdoors with rubber casings to prevent it from getting wet and being dropped). However, the iSkin revo may be better looking than most available covers.
Also, some reviewers commented on the plastic cover not fitting on correctly. I cannot confirm this, maybe a defective cover? Also, if you are careful you will avoid any air bubbles. This said, even if you do have some, these usually disappear with time (as you keep hammering your fingers on the screen).
Be also aware that although it isn't difficult to take the iPhone out of the cover, you want to avoid doing this too often as you will start cracking the rubber material if you are not careful. That said, it is not intended to be changed frequently.
One important fact not mentioned in most of the other reviews I saw is that you will no longer be able to use the docking station that is shipped with the iPhone if you use the iSkin. I had to revert back to using the cable, as taking of the cover is difficult (see previous paragraph).
Good Little Number for Your iPhone

Have had this black case for about 2 months of continuous use. Fit, finish and durability are simply excellent. My only REAL gripe is it's tough to get to the ring silencer switch on the iPhone. And I tossed the accessories (plastic shield, rubber plug insert, etc.) into a drawer as they're kind of overkill. If I were in an environment like a beach or rock quarry with a lot of fine dust, I'd probably give them some credence. But reviewers on ars technica have tested this phone and found it near impossible to scratch the screen even when TRYING to do so.
The black case does tend to show pocket lint, but it's no biggie, just rub it off with your fingers. (Or keep your pockets clean, ha.) In short:
- Phone still fits into my jeans pocket with the case, nice
- Non-slip factor is great as I can put the phone on my dash and it'll stay put
- I also keep a few biz cards in the back of the case between the phone and the case itself; handy little space there
- Grips on side of case are appreciated; I haven't dropped my phone since I've had this case -- and with the thickness of the Revo, I wouldn't be worried if I did
A solid product at an okay price. Guess you get what you pay for in this case.

Save your money

The item is overpriced and comes with several accessories that I will never use, in fact I've already thrown away most of them. The useless pieces are (1) The film that goes over the screen (it cuts down on the phone's usefulness since it makes the screen hard to see), (2) The snap-on plastic cover that needs to be removed every time you use the iPhone, (3) The little plug for the docking jack (are they kidding?), and (4) The little plastic cover for the camera lens (ditto). Also, the case must be removed when you use Apple's phone dock. The case itself seems to be fine, but there are several cheaper iPhone cases that don't come with all this stuff.

I bought this case after doing quite a bit of research. I carry my phone in my pocket and I knew sooner or later I would drop my new iPhone. I wanted something that provided good protection, did not detract from functionality, and did not add too much bulkiness so I'll focus on those three areas.
1) Protection. So far so good. I have not dropped my phone yet with the skin on; however, the case is made of a rubbery material, built very well (easy to install without tearing), and will probably handle most common drops.
2) Detraction from functionality. This is the only area I have issues with the product. It comes with the case, a privacy screen filter/protector, and plastic, snap-on screen cover. The skin fits well and slips on easily. The camera, speakers and microphone are not impeded at all.
a. You cannot use the touch screen with the hard plastic screen cover that comes with the case which means you have to pull it off and place it somewhere everytime you want to touch your iPhone's screen. After misplacing the cover three times the first day I had the case, I decided to discard it. It was too much of a hassle.
b. With the case on, the buttons on the iPhone have to be pushed a little harder, but that did not really bother me. If you do not have good hand strenghth (my grandmother would not like this case) you will probably not appreciate the extra effort required to press the volume button and the sleep/wake buttons.
c. The bottom of the phone has a little extra bulk now so I cannot fit my phone into the docking station. The iSkin company has an adapter for $30 (retail) so you if have other accessories you dock with, you might need one. I'm just using the USB cable that came with my phone to charge it and it works just fine. I was using the docking station, but not now. You might find this slightly annoying depending on whether you dock or not.
d. The Ring/Silent button is a little more recessed now and have to push in with my finger nail to flick the switch. I keep my nails short so this is a slight annoyance for me. You may not have a problem with this if you have longer nails.
e. The screen filter/protector allows you to use the touch screen normally, but detracts from the clarity and brightness of the screen. The filter is also supposed to provide privacy, but it only works along the long axis of the phone. That means if you are holding your phone upright people along side of you can still see your screen, but not people to your front. If you hold it sideways the opposite is true. I'm probably going to remove this soon only because I miss how glossy and bright my screen was. It's kind of similar to the difference between looking at a glossy-finished photo and a matte-finished one. I prefer glossy.
f. That deep-seated audio accessory jack just got a little deeper. If you have an L-shaped male adapter that currently works with you iPhone, then you might have a problem with it. The headphone cable that comes with the iPhone works just fine.
3) Bulkiness. I was pleasantly surprised here. I was worried the case would detract from the phone's ability to slip easily out of my pocket. The additional friction resulting from rubber sliding against the material in my pocket is very slight and has not annoyed me. The clothes I wear have big pockets and are loose fitting so if you wear tight pants and keep your phone in your pocket, this could be a problem.
That's about it. It's a great case. I just nit-picked a great deal. Some of these issues will probably exist with any skin protector.
