Elegant desktop pc

I have had this PC for a month now. It is flawless. The monitor is crisp and beautiful. Everyone loves the look. I am using it in my office. Very impressive just sitting there with a desktop background slide show going. Looks like a beautiful picture frame with the clear border. No tower and wireless keyboard and mouse make for free uncluttered workplace. The size of the monitor allows multiple windows up and running. No problems using Vista Premium at all. Very intuitive. Computer is fast and very quiet, a pleasure to use. I do not use the TV function so can't report on that but DVD Movie playback is beautiful. The speakers sound great with AOL Radio in background. All my periphreals set up easily. "Crysis" ran very slowly before I bought and plugged in San disk 2 gig memory stick with ready boost. Haven't tried "Crysis" again. But did try "Nexus-Jupiter incident" and it ran flawlessly at highest resolution. I would not reccomend this computer as a high end gaming pc because of its limited upgradeability at this time. This is the future of the pc workstation/gaming rig. As more powerful parts are miniturized, the no tower, all in one machine will become mainstream. For me, I could not imagine going back to a tower again. Hope this was helpful.

I purchased this Vaio VGC-LT18E about a month ago from Amazon. The computer was delivered very quickly, and setting it up was a brisk. The machine is fantastic, works very fast, has not crashed a single time yet. and it is a beauty, adding to any modern design. I am very happy with Vista, no problems at all.

We have had this system for a few days now and so far, it is living up to all of our expectations. It was simple to set up, it works perfectly and it looks fantastic. It is great that this system takes up so little space, the screen is a perfect size and very clear. No complaints at all yet.
Hard drive crashed @ 29 days old
2008-01-03
Bought the unit, thought it was great, hard drive crashed 29 days after I opened the box, still working with cutomer service to get problem resolved, as with most other companies, they are outsourced overseas, hard to deal with, have the Sony extended onsite warranty thank goodness, still to get someone here to fix it. Have numerous other Sony products including 3 laptops 2 TVs and 4 cameras with nary a problem, guess this was a fluke hpefully.
IT'S AN AWESOME COMPUTER!!!

This Sony Vaio all-in-one is very nice. It was easy to set-up right out the box. It is marvelous to look at; sleek and attactive in appearance. Most of all it is simply a joy to use. I have had absolutely no problems with this PC. The screen is very nice ... crisp and clear. The PC is an extremely fast machine. No hiccups at all.
WOWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I admit it. I'm a technofile and partial to Vaio computers in general. But NOTHING has come close to this one in a LONG TIME.
The setup is unbelievably easy. Pull it out of the box, put the batteries in, hit the connect button and you are going. In fact it was so easy that it took me a few seconds to realize that it REALLY was that easy. When it turns on and starts going, you realize that even though this isn't the HD version, you have a 22" Sony Bravia HD TV screen for your monitor! It is crystal! To the point that you can easily see bad production work on some of the cheaper DVD's. And you can really see the WHOLE spreadsheet.
Even though this can be wireless, I have mine hooked up to the house LAN and there are a whole *3* wires coming from this. No more rat's next of wires, so it can hold a place of honor, right on the center of the desk. From the back it looks like a big picture frame. All the lines are sleek and stylish, from the built in speakers, to the low profile keyboard with a built in wrist rest.
Since it was designed with Vista in mind, it uses the Operating System nicely to be EXTREMELY fast. I have a 1 year old Vaio dual core as well and the LT is probably twice as fast. I haven't played around with the integrated webcam and microphone yet-so I can't speak to them.
It also connects to Sony's Wireless Speakers and even has an Optical out port for those who want it to double as a TV/DVD player. And while the DVD does make noise when it it first inserted and settles down, it is really quiet during play.
Minor cons are that the unit takes some time coming out of sleep mode and you have to reach around the "picture frame" to press the Disc Eject button, as it has a TV style disc drive. But these are really minor compared to the overwhelming pluses.
Sony got this one right!
