Slim Step pedometer plus bodyfat %

I have owned 3 of these over the last 4 years. I don't leave home without it. I have gotten so used to wearing it, I unfortunately went for a swim in the lake with it still on my waist. Only drawback - not waterproof lol! I then lost the second model and am now on my third and, hopefully, last.

I wanted a pedometer that would accurately display my everyday activities while working in a physical job that doesn't translate well to traditional 'steps'. This does the trick. It tracks motion both up and down and laterally. So, my bending and reaching and walking up and down stairs at work get picked up by the SlimStep whereas a traditional pedometer won't catch all the more subtle movements.

It also has a bodyfat measurement feature. I find it to be way more accurate than my step-on body fat scale at home. Using your bodyfat, along with sex, age, weight, and height, it will determine a weight loss course of action for you. (I wish this feature were more customizable. It always wants to get me to 21% bodyfat but that is not my personal goal. That's a small gripe, though.) So,I don't really utilize the suggested weight loss course feature, but do measure my bodyfat regularly to note trends up or down.

As with most pedometers today, it scrolls between steps, calories burned, and miles on the display. I would buy it just for its ability to detect motion beyond forward steps, but the bodyfat mesurement is a bonus I use all the time. I truly never leave home without it!
