Editorial Review
The DLO Jam Jacket with earbud management is a superior, no-slip silicone case that adds a gripable layer of protection to your iPod classic. But grip is just the beginning--this high-quality, lint-free silicone also features a raised texture and integrated earbud management in one unique case.

Get a Grip, and Tame Your Earbuds

It's a Wrap!
Tired of dealing with tangled cords and dangling earbuds? The Earbud Management System on the back of the Jam Jacket allows you to neatly wrap the cord behind your iPod, and safely stow your iPod earbuds while not in use. When it's time to jam, unwind only as much as you need--the handy side-notches will hold the cord in place, keeping the excess cable wrapped and out of your way.

Total Protection + Access
The Jam Jacket protects your iPod while allowing easy access to the hold switch and headphone jack. Plus, a thin layer of silicone provides click wheel protection and play-through access for seamless navigation of your iPod content. Jam Jacket also features open access to the iPod dock connector, so you can use your favorite charger or car accessory while your tunes stay protected.

Go ahead, slip the Jam Jacket onto your iPod classic for gripable protection and headphone management in one unique case.

Ipod skin 2008-04-07
You barely know it's there, great product. I really like how the headphones attach to the back, that keeps them out of the way. The case is not hard- so if you drop your Ipod, it doesn't offer much protection. Overall, it's a great product!

not for everyone 2008-04-07
I had recently shelled out the money for an iPod classic and within a few hours I was covering my iPod with all sorts of fingerprints. I wanted to get some sort of case to protect the iPod. I thought that the Jam Jacket would be good protection from bumps, scratches, and fingerprints.

Pros:
-The product protects the iPod from minor physical damage (except the screen)
-The price is reasonable

Cons:
-There is no screen protection
-The wheel became difficult to use with the cover on
-The very tight fit makes the jacket more difficult to install and remove

On the specific product that I had purchased the printing on the wheel area was slightly off. This made it appear as if the wheel buttons were crooked. The labels on the jacket appeared to be on some sort of angle even when there was no iPod in the case. I ended up returning this case and purchasing another one that had a screen cover and did not cover the wheel.

DLO Jacket is Great 2008-02-13
I'm really protective of things like iPods, cell phones, etc. so this jacket is perfect for me! i don't worry about scratches, dings, etc. I also like have the place to wrap the earphone cord and a place for the buds. I would highly reccomend this product!

Nice, but troublesome 2008-02-10
On January 5th, I purchased a DLO Jam Jacket with Cord Management for the 80 GB iPod classic. As the title suggests, this product is designed specifically for the 80 GB iPod Classic, and therefore may not work as expected for other iPods.

The quick review: Overall, this case offers a good deal of protection, and the cord management feature, if you use the standard iPod buds, is rather helpful. However, without any screen protection, minor-to-major issues with the wheel, and minor issues with the cord manager, this model may not be a wise choice.

This model also offers, on the back of the case, earbud and cord management. Basically, there are two spots to place your earbuds, spacing on all sides to allow the cords to be wrapped around, and another spot to insert the other end of the cord.

In practice, this works very well. However, there's no quick way to easily release the cord once it's been wound. On the other hand, this does mean your cords will stay where you've put them. The earbuds, however, are another story. While they'll stay in well the first couple of times, after a while they start to pop out, especially when you pull them out of an inner coat pocket. However, because of the cord management, this isn't that big of an issue.

One thing that may not be readily apparent is that this model doesn't offer any screen protection. While I opened the packaging expecting it, I was sorely mistaken. Depending upon your usage of this case, that may be a major problem. However, the iPod Classic is supposed to have a stronger screen ... In my own usage, which includes sitting on a desk most of the time, to an inside coat pocket for travel, I've noticed some level of spotting, but no scratching.

Finally, we have the question of whether the case impacts normal usage. Sadly, I've noticed that this case does impact normal usage, sometimes in a very significant way.

The top, for plugging in your phones and placing on hold, and the bottom, for charging and connectivity, are left available and free. The front and back are otherwise completely covered, which means no finger prints. However, the wheel is also covered, which is sadly where functionality is impacted.

Although I've only slide the case onto the iPod once, the front just isn't tight enough, which means that when attempting to use the wheel, either to move through menus, or changing the volume, the plastic ends up negating my fingers motion. Unfortunately, this has happened enough that I was strongly tempted to rip off the case and just go without.

Overall, I'm fairly happy with the DLO Jam Jacket. The fact that there is no covering over the screen, and that the wheel functionality sometimes suffers are in fact fairly major issues. However, the earbud management feature is quite nice, and combined with the improved strength of the iPod Classic screen, this case isn't a total wash.

I give this product 3 of 5 stars, since while the purchase wasn't a total wash, I can't honestly recommend this case above all others, and might indeed be happier with another one.

4 stars, but nice skin 2008-02-05
Alright,

This cover is great, the good part is the feature for the cable and earphones management and that it has a cover over the wheel. The material looks and feels durable. When you buy it new it limits a little the wheels sensibility but once you use it for a couple of days it will adjust better, now i dont have any problem with that.

I did not give 5 stars for one reason, dont get me wrong, i love the skin, but it does not have a screen cover (of course, since through the screen "whole" is where you get the ipod in) but it should have a feature to protect your screen.

Anyways, the skin rocks for me, i like it and i feel for the price it is pretty good! I recommend it.

Best Ipod case 2008-06-16
One reason I like this ipod case is because you not only are protecting your ipod, which is like an investment but also you can manage the headphones cord which can become annoyningly tangled. As soon as my son saw it, he wanted one, so I had to buy another one for him. And the price was great.

Kills the wheel 2008-06-05
I really wanted to like this case - it's nice-feeling, very functional, and I liked the earbud management - however, it kills the wheel's responsiveness. I completely lose all sensitivity between 3 and 6 o'clock on the wheel. The wheel works fine outside of the case. The hunt for the perfect case continues.

Soft and comfy. 2008-06-02
The cover is great! It's soft to the touch and is not as bulky as I expected it to be. I appreciate that it has a specific place where I can wrap and store the cord, that way it doesn't get tangled where ever I store it. The only disadvantage to this product is that it doesn't have a screen protector. I think if you are considering this product you should go for it!

what they don't tell you 2008-05-09
The description says, "Access to all iPod classic controls and dock connector." Well, that will be true if the only dock connector you use is the USB cord. If you have a device like the Belkin dock, and want to park your iPod to charge, and use the output to feed some other audio component, that's not going to happen. It WILL NOT fit on the dock with the jacket on it. I can see where this would be a good thing to have, if your iPod only goes from your computer to your pocket, but, for me, it's not so hot.
After a couple of weeks, I finally just had to give up using this. I found that, with the jacket on, the iPod wheel sometimes just stops working.

LAME 2008-04-14
This is the lamest ipod case I've ever seen. It doesn't protect the screen, which is the most easily scratchable part of the ipod. Also, the cord management system is designed only for ipod headphones. I had bought this product specifically because I use non-ipod headphones and the cord is too long. But the grooves are too narrow and it doesn't lock in my cord. Not worth your money.
