The service and the product were fine. I had just ordered the incorrect item; I actually needed a 40-ft line. So, Amazon.com allowed me to return this one for a refund. I have now received and are using the 40-ft clothes line. I've had one of these for years and the cord finally wore out; and I wanted another immediately!

need to use the entire length

You have to use the entire length or it will not be tight, but as long as you rig something up to use up the extra length, it works great. I love it.

The Lehigh is a great clothesline. I bought 3, mounted them easily, and use them regularly. The cord winds in easily and securely, and I can wind the cord out to any in-between length without any drop in tension on the line thanks to a very simple hook on the bottom of the device.

I use mine outside, where they are mounted on wood posts under the eaves.

This thing works great. It's inexpensive, hardy, not unpleasant to look at, and reliable. I don't see any reason to buy a different model.

I was thrilled to find this on Amazon as had purchased one nearly 8 years ago that finally gave out - same exact model. bought a couple this time - use one in the laundry room and one outside by shed for spouses garage rags etc.. both are convenient, sturdy, easy to use and durable. Perfect for small areas, would also be great for camping or anywhere you need a durable little line.

great retractable feature, BUT don't let go of it while your husband is hanging it into the post as it retracts really fast and hits him you know where.

I bought three of these, and they work very well: the lines roll out and retract easily, the casings are solid (and hinged to allow the line to swivel), and the hardware for attaching the casing to the wall is sturdy. I wish there were a little more tension in the line when it's not pulled out to its full length, but otherwise these are perfect. I'm using my electric dryer a lot less these days!

Cool idea

Everyone should have one of these. You can drill screws somewhere to hang this when you want it up and slide it off the screws to remove it for storage when you're not using it. A cool idea.

Perfect indoor use

I live in an apartment and I wanted to save money on my power bill. I stoped useing my dishwasher and dryer. Those two are MAJOR power pigs. This indoor clothes line is perfect for my small space because it is retractable and can hide away when not in use. Very simple set up and easy to use. My clothes dried much faster then if I hung them in the bathroom and I was able to hang more up at once.
