Good for the price

Nice TV as long as you're looking straight at it and not from the side. The optimal viewing angle for this TV is rather small. Also, since it's not a 120 hz TV, fast motion can cause some distortion. Color accuracy is also marginal. Overall, okay for the price. Would I buy this TV again? Probably not. Are there worse LCD panels out there? Yep. Oh, and don't think the 720p has anything to do with the average performance of this TV. 1080P on anything less than 60 inches is a waste.
Great value

This is definitely best in class for the money. I researced at least a dozen similar models. All were more expensive and few had the feature package. It was easy to set up, although I don't have a very complicated aray of equipment. I haven't played around with all the gizmos yet, but the remote and on-screen menus are well organized and easy to use.
Regza 42" 720p, Got LCD?

Exelent LCD TV, picture quality very very good. And the Eagle CEVA shipping service top notch, my hats off. LCD TV arrived in perfect conditions, factory sealed.
The delivey man knocked to my door, placed my new TV at the living room where I told him, he opened, plugged in the power cord, turned on and asked me: "Do you accept this TV?", I said "Yes", signed and he went. Exellent delivery service, my hats off.
Why I choosed this one? After doing some good research over the forums and users reviews, concluded that this Thosiba Regza was the best you can get for the price and good quality.
Iam very exited with this buy, now watching movies was like never before, is really like having Cinema at home, a real Home theater. Changed our way of life. Now is a pleassure to be at home having good times watching movies.
When it first arrived, the first movie we watched was Matrix Reloaded, and the picture quality brings a tear to the eye, we still dont see a better quality image on DVD format on any other TV. And HD source is incredible, really genuine, top notch.
The picture quality is exelent, good contrast, good blacks, no blurr, no ghosting, nothing, is just beautiful, full eyecandy on.
No dead pixels, an awesome gloss black finish, piano like, and the Panel is perfect black. A thing I always notice on LCD panels is when they are turned off, the more black it is the more I like it, and this one brings a tear to the eye, perfect black. My hats off.
Remote control is ok, instructions ok, packing ok too. On screens Menu are clean, simple and look fresh. Plenty of connectors, 3 HDMI inputs, 2 components, some RCA video/audio inputs too. Bottons at the side.
Got this baby at $870 greens shipping included. Good value, product and shipping. And of course guaranteed, straight shipped from factory, couldnt be more new, manufactured a couple of months ago. We are amazed for this service, -Amazon, u got 5 stars, 6 if it could- . thanks Amazon for having this good deals on LCD TVs.

This LCD TV is 720p, not full 1080p, but we feel that dont need the full 1080p capability for the cost (extra 400 bucks) because we use it mainly for non 1080p signals, like cable tv, games and DVD movies. For HD we use the PC trhough Component cable, wich wont accept 1080p, just 720.
1080p is only via HDMI,
Anyway still if u have a collection of 1080p movies and broadcat 1080p source, then consider the higher option of course. But we are very happy with this 720p TV, perfect what we needed. Awesome picture quality, it makes justice. What we were looking for, thanks again Amazon. My hats off. Happy camper. Game on.
I really like it 2008-04-24
I like almost everything about the tv. The pic is great, remote is great, good visual aesthetics, fuctionality is strong too. My only drawback is the sound quality. I am not an expert on sound quality and I may be biased since i did read that people did have problems with the sound before I bought this, but it seems average to me. not sharp enough. but, maybe that's why you are supposed to get surround sound with a receiver. overall, it is a great product for the price. and amazon white glove delivery was phenomenal.
Great TV 2008-04-23
This is a great TV for its low price. The HD picture looks awesome, sports are crystal clear and movies look great. As some other reviews have pointed out, the SD picture quality is so-so, but for most people buying an HD set they plan on watching HD channels anyway.
The 720p vs 1080p issue should not be much of a concern for a TV of this size. On a 42in TV you can only really see the benefit of 1080p if you are viewing from 6ft or less, otherwise the picture will look the same at 1080p or 720p. While buying at 1080p set may still be a good decision, going with a good quality 720p is a good way to save a bit of money.
The 3HDMI inputs are a good benefit, as well as the PC input on the back. Pictures settings look good, although I have not yet calibrated the colors (although I am happy with them as they are). The TV is bright too, that was a concern of mine before buying.
All in all, this is a great TV for a low price. If you want to enjoy 42in HD content you can't go wrong with this set.

I have owned this tv for about little over a month. So far, it hasn't given me any trouble. The white glove delivery went smoothly.
Quick Shipping but POOR INSTALLATION! 2008-05-05
I have always had a great experience with Amazon until this one - their large delivery service partner - EAGLE were terrible, not only were they an hour late of the time frame given to me, but they were very inexperienced with assembly and installation of the TV. On top of the slow and poor experience, once they assembled the tv, they dropped it on my glass coffee table, damaging both. Trust me, do not get the white glove delivery service. Just sign for it at the door and don't let them in!

Awsome TV for the price 2008-05-02
This is the 2nd Toshiba I have purchased and I am very happy with the picture quality. I would recommend this TV even though it is not a 1080p. You can't tell the difference unless you stand very very close
