Great value and peformance 2008-07-06
I am extremely satisfied with the product. The sound is great, navigation and controls are simple and it looks good. One thing that attracted me is that it had a clip. You do not have to pay another $30 or so for a case needed to attach it to your body. I also did not want to join the I pod cult so this was an attractive alternative.

Good Product for the Money 2008-07-06
The first Sansa I got didn't hold the charge, so I returned it for a new one. I got the new one pretty quickly, & it works fine. Good experience; have already ordered again from Amazon.

Sandisk Sansaclip 2008-06-30
Have bought two for family members and recently bought the 4 GB for myself. Much better than the ipod shuffle because you can choose from your playlists, albums or artists. You can also see your selection. Very easy to download your music and its size is practical to use when you workout. Headbuds are not that great. Other than that cheaper than ipod and a better product.

Delicious Sound 2008-06-25
Con's - Nothing major, all fixable.
The headphones included don't take advantage of the sound quality this thing puts out. When you hook it up to a car the volume is low compared to other players so you have to raise the car's volume a lot higher.
Pro's -
Hands down the best sound I have gotten from an Mp3 player, the bass response is just amazing. I bought some Skullcandy 15 buck headphones that insert into the ear and its like having a subwoofer in your ear. Not an annoying bass, its a smooth responsive bass.
Its small cute and tough as nails. I take it on long hikes, runs and work (construction.) The battery life is OVER 15 hours of continuous use. Oh and mp3s are coming in higher bit-rate so get a higher gig one cause the new mp3s will eat your space. A cave man could use this thing, display is bright and buttons are responsive, menus are easy to navigate. Get one.

Tiny player... that Rocks! 2008-06-23
This little player was a big surprise to me. Have you ever seen a super tiny electronic device that seems to do more than is possible for it's tiny size? Well, this certainly fits into that category. To illustrate how tiny this thing is, the size of the circular dial on the front of it (the blue glowing circle) is slightly smaller than a quarter. The player itself is super thin too. So here are a few more reasons why this player is amazing:

Pros:
-Super Tiny and Thin
-Sound quality is great
-Built in Radio
-Built in Microphone
-Built in Clip (hence the name) and perfect for jogging
-Super bright 2 color Led Screen (it's probably organic LED)
-Plug & Play (at least it was for me)... just like a USB drive
-Long lasting internal battery (my guess is at least 8 hours play time)
-Charges through standard Mini-usb to USB cable.
-Amazing price for all the features it includes.

Cons:
I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this player, and I swear that I don't work for Sandisk. I kind of collect MP3 players and also own the Creative Zen Vision and Zen Muvo^2.

Conclusion: If you are thinking about buying an Ipxd shuffle or replacing your shuffle, this player is perfect for your needs and is so much better than a shuffle. It is easier to use, has more features, and sounds better! Not to mention it also has a LED screen. Plus, you don't have to deal with Itunes. Just plug this baby in, drag some songs from your computer and you're done. And yes, it does have a "Shuffle" play mode which includes "Repeat tracks" or "Play once" options. This little player really is a marvel of modern tech... I hope someday they will sell one with 60GB of memory. Now that... would Rock! For now, they only come in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB... I think.

Wonderful little mp3 2008-07-18
One of my co-workers bought this player and brought it to work. I was amazed @ how small it was. When I listened to it the sound was amazing. I have an IPOD, 30 GB, but decided to buy this one because of the size and the power it packs. It was well worth my money. It's plug and play and very easy to upload music.

Bad battery 2008-07-17
I purchased this for my sister as a gift (she loves these electronic gadgets, but she is still in college so she can't afford to buy them for herself.) At first she loved it. She went on about how great all the features are. Then about 3 months after I gave it to her the battery stopped holding a charge. Great item if you get one with a good battery, but based on this experience I won't be purchasing an item from SanDisk again. I'll spend a little more on her birthday next year and spring for an iPod.

Great player, upgrade the firmware 2008-07-15
This is a great little player. Good sound (don't use the included headphones though), FM radio, and with a firmware upgrade, it is even better! Works well with Ubuntu Linux, and again, even better with the firmware upgrade!

I highly suggest you upgrade the firmware. You either need to do this in Windows or do a search for the download to do it in Linux. Just download the zip file, extract, and put the .bin file in the player root directory. With the upgrade Linux will recognize the player as a music player instead of just a flash, and will open up on a music player. Additionally it will add added audiobook and podcast support and folders. It will also allow the player to recognize .ogg files, which is a great addition for even better quality music files!

Radio is a great feature but reception is a little weak. That is common among MP3 players, as you really don't have room for an antenna. Great buy for the money. Don't waste money on that product from the fruit company. You will get better options and quality from this player, which is less expensive!

Oh, and transfer speeds (drag and drop files in Linux) are VERY fast. Nice that the transfer speeds are good, so you don't have to waste time when swapping out your files.

Sansa Clip 2GB 2008-07-15
Great small player for the gym or exercising outdoors. Easy to clip on shirt or shorts rather than wearing a bulky armband.
Upgrade the headphones and you are ready to go.

easy to operate 2008-07-13
The mp3 player is east to load and easy to operate. There is plenty of room for all my music. I need simple and this is simple
