totally new listening eperience

I can't believe more people don't have theses. this is the way music should be. you can use the usual active approach and find the music you think that you like and eventually get bored with it like everyone else with an ipod. Or you can take a semi-passive approach and use the suggestions, similar bands, rhapsody channels that this thing gives you.
say your busy but want to listen to something good. pull up an artist you know you like, then hit the listen to this artist's channel and magically you have a radio station completely focused on what you want to hear. this allows you to discover new artists that would never get clear channel airplay. and if you like the song you're listening to, just hit the keep this song button. like an album, download the whole album. I've been called "exteremely careful with money" or cheap but this well worth the rhapsody subscription
the device itself is very nice and looks much better than the pictures. the screen is pretty good and bright. navigation is fairly easy but you do need to learn the shortcuts to be effective.
I have never connected this to a computer by the way. I don't need to because I don't have to buy music every time I want to listen to it. it's like cable, it's just paid for and I can just enjoy it without worrying about it.
the wifi function is perfect. Battery life could be longer but it's chargable via usb which means that those AA cellphone boosters work as well.
the web browser could be a lot better but it's good for simple things and hotel/coffee shop wifi pages
BUY THIS
Almost perfect!

This is my first portable digital music player and I have to say that I just love it. The Rhapsody subscription service allows me to play tons of music without actually having to buy it and the Ibiza means I can have to "to go". The player works great with the bluetooth headphones by Motorola (S9). The Wi-Fi downloading is a breeze. The people who do the firmware are constantly supplying fixes and upgrades to it. I only see this device getting better.
I wish there were more accessories available for it but they will come in time.
Rhapsody Member Product only!

So i recieved it 2 Days ago and i ended up getting a defective one :( But Amazon's customer service is sending me one next day shipping so i can have it beofre my vacation. I was able to mess with the device for a day before it died. Very Easy product to use with a bunch of features. WiFi is def a plus and the bluetooth is great too. Everything was smooth sailing for me since im a rhapsody member already. Only bad thing is it died after tranfering my 6,000 songs....bummer!....Only Recommend for rhapsody to go subscription members...If your not one, become one...it blows itunes away!
slick presentation, disappointing in the details

This player is a knockout to look at and works smoothly and pretty bug-free thus far (one month after purchase). I bought it to replace my iriver H10 that died. I am sad to say that the Ibiza does not appear to allow you to adjust the sound quality at all and it also lacks a recording function. Two things I took for granted on my iriver and so didn't even think about checking when I bought the Ibiza. I wish I'd known, so offer this review just to be sure future buyers know this downside. If you don't care too much about the nuance of sound quality beyond volume up and down with different genres of music and don't need a recording function, the player works nicely but alas those two are more than minimally important to me and I wish I would have known the Ibiza didn't offer them.
I also was attracted by the Ibiza's wifi capability, but so far have not been able to find a network where I can access Rhapsody in real time so am using it the "old fashioned" way by plugging it into my computer.
Best MP3 player out there

This player blows me away. It does everything and does it well. Sure you can get players with more storage capacity for less money but storage capacity isn't everything. People keep comparing this thing to the iPod but if you're going to make a comparisson it's closer to the touch, does more and has more space for less. So there you have it. The Rhapsody integration is where this thing really excels. I buy music but I also subscribe to Rhapsody so I can sample as much as I like whenever I like. With this I'm just cruising through releases on my couch downloading whatever I like for a flat $15 a month fee, if I don't like it, it's no big loss. I really can't rave about this product enough. There's alot I'd like to see happen with this type of device but for now I'm content that it does what it is supposed to so well and wouldn't sacrifice that kind of stability for rushed features. I think anyone with an open mind would love this player immediately on having it.
The best mp3 out there!

The best MP3 player I've owned. Easy to use, good integration with Rhapsody good interface and great sound. I was in a hotel that had WiFi and was able to get all the benefits of Rhapsody as I do at home. Strongly recommend Ibiza Rhapsody!
The Rhapsody Service makes all the difference

This product can be a little slow to jump between functions, but the Rhapsody to-go service is unparalleled in terms of value. For something like $28/month, you have the ability to download 4.5 million songs with no 'price per song or album' as with Apple's competing iTunes service. While all the media is still DRM protected by REALPLAYER's HELIX DRM solution, the simple fact that you can fill up a 30G Ibiza with all the album's you can't afford, and do it LEGALLY is simply amazing.
The only drawbacks I've seen with the Ibiza is that it doesn't have any aftermarket components like th iPod, and there is not software equalizer or listening modes (e.g. Concert, Classical, etc...)
I gave this product a 5 star rating because it performs as advertised, and I was influenced by REALPLAYER's Rhapsody service.
Oh, another cool thing is the 802.11g wireless connection which allows you to leapfrog across genres and artists directly through your wireless router.
If you use Rhapsody, this is your type of player

I was extremely surprised by how much I enjoy this MP3 player!
It sounds and looks great, and the wifi is an amazing feature! It is so much easier adding music to my player through with the wifi (through Rhapsody) rather than syncing it up to my computer. I was a bit amazed at how quick it can download music!
I've found that the battery life is a bit shorter than I'd like, but if you turn off the wifi and bluetooth capabilities while at work or the gym it does helps. Also, I just invested some money in a charging dock and car charger (Ibiza brand too, which I found it at Target), so it's not that big of a deal any more. The ear buds it comes with aren't very good at all, but I already had my own before I bought the player.
There are only two things that have bothered me a bit with this player... 1. The touch pad can be a bit tricky to work, especially if you're trying to change tracks in the car, but maybe I just need some more practice... and 2. It sorts soundtracks and compilation albums stupidly by breaking it up into separate albums for each artist featured. For example, my Darjeeling Limited album is listed as about 17 different album, each album featuring music from a specific artist on the soundtrack... very lame if you like listening to soundtracks. You can create an album playlist and add all the "broken" albums onto it in order to piece it all together, but it is a pain... but even with these problems, I still give it five stars.
Overall though, this player is definitely awesome if you are a Rhapsody subscriber (especially Rhapsody To Go). For me, the unlimited uploads are worth the $15 monthly fees... I'm always adding music to my MP3 player (around 200 songs a month), which comes out to a little under 8 cents a song, a lot cheaper than iTunes (and you can't even listen to the whole song before you buy it!). With Rhapsody's newest bombardment of advertisements, this new player could even be a great rival for the iPod (but not many companies can stand up against Apple's obnoxiously amazing marketing).
If you aren't a Rhapsody member, you definitely will not get as much joy out of this player.
Very functional

The menus are easy to use! Sound is great when plugged in to a car stereo! I had another MP3 Player (Bean Walkman from Sony), and it sounded like crap in the car. Even though there isn't an equalizer, this device doesn't need one. I love driving with this plugged in. My only complaint is the one that I have with all portable devices - the battery doesn't last near long enough! I am always charging the thing. Also, the Wifi part is a bit confusing. But I am not that wifi savvy yet. So that may be my fault. I was determined to stay away from the IPOD (Rhapsody's subscription for music is so much cheaper! No 99cents per song crap for me!), so this is a good alternative choice.
ibiza is a hit!

This player combined with the to go subscription to Rhapsody is what I've always looked for in a music player. I don't have to do anything (who has the time?) other than find music on Rhapsody and drag it to the player.
Not only that, it gets updated for new features at no cost!
