Does what the Iphone should have done all along 2008-08-06
This little add-on is great. Not only does it bring BT music connectivity to the Iphone. It sends it with such clarity and without dropping out (like other add-ons do). It allows your Iphone to wirelessly stream Ipod tunes to your BT headphones. It also can stream BT music to car stereos that have that feature. I have it working with my stereo playing Pandora radio app. So essentially it now allows Internet radio to be played wirelessly through the car!

A perfect bluetooth transmitter for ipod - bu pricey 2008-08-06
I bought this after I found the Jabra A125s too bulky and its connection is not stiff enough...
.. and, to be honest, its much better than the Jabra. The size is tiny, it can easily fit an ipod with a case. The 'teeth' prevents the unit from coming loose to easily. Pairing is superquick and hassle free. Sound really depends on your headphones and receiver but for all intents an purposes it doesn't sound worst that the Jabra's. Although much more expensive than the Jabra's I think it's worth the difference. The more secure fit, smaller size, and the lack of need to charge it is handy.

Just a note: I think there is another review - for the black version maybe - which states that because it has no on board battery the unit needs to be re-paired everytime. This is misleading - since pairing information is stored on the receiver and not this transmitter.I have paired this unit with 3 different head phones without the need to re-pair

    Great, but... 2008-07-27
This product works very well with my ipod touch and my ipod video, when combined with my Motorola S9; However when synced with my Cerulean F1 the pause/play button does not work well. This is the only reason I am not giving this product a full 5 stars. The audio is good for me and it's easy to set up. The best thing about this product is the price. I spent more than double for the Cerulean combo and this is my back up. I purchased two of these transmitters and they are wonderful. I would recommend this product. I think the upset reviewer may have had a bad reciever, not transmitter.

    Nice addition 2008-06-22
I use this for my iphone and it works fantastic. Plays stereo bluetooth just like it does for an ipod. Can even use the iphone's bluetooth for phone calls at the same time. It also has the clips to hold the connector in place as some other brands do not. Great product Sony!

    Sony bluetooth transmitter - a dud 2008-06-15
This item does not work with all iPods that have a dock connector.
    Buyer beware.

A winner Sony iPod bluetooth transmitter with 5th or 5.5 gen. iPod 2008-05-12

    Works Perfectly! 2008-05-07
It was important to me that this support EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) for better sound quality, which it does. Other than that it links up instantly with my receiving device.

Range seems good and the 30 foot maximum is realistic.
