Large Surface Magnification

Bought this large magnifying glass for Mom and she likes it because it covers a fairly large surface and the magnification is 5X.
Five power Magnifying Glass

I received item in good time. Hower, this is NOT a five (5) power Glass. It is more like a two (2) power Glass. I have four other Magnifying Glasses and none are over three (3) power but all are more powerful than this supposed five (5) power Glass. I will not buy another product from this manufacturer. I am hoping for a refund so I can buy a good Glass.

Solid contruction but I cannot tell the difference between it's supposedly 5X magnification and the 3X magnifying glass I have.

My Mother loves to read, but at 91 her eyes are starting to fail. I buoght this as part of her Mother's Day gift. She said that she could now read a whole page of a paperback with out having to move the magnifer and that it was so nice and clear to see through. The handle is nice and long so it makes it easy to hold. She is very happy with it.

Ad copy says this is a 5X magnifing lens. I already had a 2X lens so I know how strong they are. When I received this lens, it is not any stronger than than the 2X lens I already had. I contacted the seller and they didn't know if they had sent me the wrong one or if they were mis-led by the company that supplies them. They were no help at all. The packaging this comes in does not specify what the magnification degree is, so no claim of 5X is on the packaging. Anyway, the seller gave me an immediate refund which was good. I would hesitate to buy again from the sellar as they don't know for sure what they are selling on this item.

This magnifying glass works just fine! I ordered several of them, one for each section of the house where I need to see better! Definitely recommend this product.
Magnifies Words and Romance 2008-02-24
Not all magnifying glasses suit all purposes, but for mine, this 4" magnifier increased for me the sight of words, and of love.
Two seats back, behind me, in Miss Schramm's history class sat Nancy, the queen of the fifth grade. We passed notes that said to each other things meant for smiling, which we did. Pencils dropped conspicuously allowed us to lean and hand the note.
She liked me. That I knew. But would she, could she go with me after school to the Candied Apple confectionery store? I asked, and she returned a reply that took most of the 45 minute class to write. With all the rhymes and prose her 11 year-old mind knew, Nancy delivered in the smallest of print sweet exuberance. As her words were too tiny to read with my poor eyes, I realized in my backpack was the tool required. I used this device to examine the colors in butterfly wings in science class, fourth period.
If not for the assistance of my classic 4" Magnifying Glass, I may have gone to the Candied Apple alone. May all of your days look larger with this magnifier, and your candy store companions be as lovely.
