Editorial Review
Work your abdominal muscles, chest, triceps, and more with the commercial-grade Body Max dip/leg raise device. The weight-free unit offers three stations: a VKR station for performing vertical knee raises (great for working the abs and strengthening the core); a dip station that works the triceps and other upper body muscles; and nonslip foot grips that double as a 90-degree push-up station for the chest and arm muscles. Combine the three stations and you can work yourself into great shape in no time. The unit is equipped with a heavy-duty 3-by-2-inch square steel tube frame that holds up to heavy use through the years. The thick, high-density, box-style cushions, meanwhile, are tough yet comfortable. Other details include a durable, scratch-resistant powder-coated finish and a 750-pound weight capacity. The dip/leg raise device carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on the upholstery and parts.

Good for dips 2008-12-03
Easy to assemble . I bought it for doing dips which it does good but a little uncomfortable for doing leg raises . No regrets .

Serves the Purpose 2008-09-09
The product shipped for free and actually arrived fours days early. It was easy to assemble, all the parts were there, and aligned easily with no hammer required. I was able to assemble it in 35 minutes by myself.

My only complaint is that the arm supports are not long enough when I am doing knee raises. The handles are located at my wrists. Strange but true. Grasping the handles forces my elbows behind my back putting a strain on my shoulders making it impossible to support myself during leg lifts.

I have used several other dip stations in the gym as well as in the stores when shopping for one for home. Of course had I been able to try this one I probably would not have purchase it. But a little too late at this point.

Not bad, but not great either. 2008-05-02
Based on the previous review, I didn't understand why this piece of equipment cost more than the tower by the same company. The price was at $199, but now at $129 temporarily. I went ahead and purchased it.

The equipment is rock solid and easy to setup. Took me about an hour. Once set up I couldn't wait to use it. First I did some dips. I weigh 250lbs and am 6' 2" yet the thing didn't budge. So far so good, and I am smiling. Now on to leg raises. Here is where it went downhill. The images are misleading. The guy in the pictures must be 5' 3". My arms could not fit behind the handle to hold me up to do leg raises. I had to just place my arms on the pads and balance. Talk about crappy, especially when your arms are sweaty and you keep slipping off. That was a big downer for me and the only reason I took two stars off. If you are a little man or a female, this equipment is perfect, but for us big guys, it's a toss up.

Bottom line, for $129 this is not a bad deal, but for $199, it's not work it. Just get a full tower at that price.

Pretty Good Deal 2008-04-05
The unit is of course made in China. What isn't nowadays? I got it for the special $129.95 price, which was a decent deal. The machine appears to be fairly well and quite solidly made. Assembly takes about an hour.

The horizontal arms should not be horizontal, but pointing slightly upwards. That would make for a much more comfortable position, when doing leg raises. As it stands, most of the energy seems to get expended in holding uncomfortably with the arms, rather than concentrating on the actual leg raises.

DLR670 Dip / Leg Raise 2008-03-26
I am simply off-setting the other review's one star rating that was based soley on the price of the item. I own other Muscle Dynamics equipment and find the build quality to be above average and worth the somewhat higher price.
