The pecan pie is my favorite because I love dates. The apple pie is tasty, too. The cherry pie is kind of blah tasting.

Seriously, had to read the ingredient list five times 'cause I couldn't believe it was so simple! These bars are simply nuts, dates, and other fruit... yeah I couldn't believe such a simple ingredient list existed anymore. Pecan pie, was 'ok,' but the apple and cherry bars were great! Perfect for keeping you going in between classes or on the trail. Way to keep it natural!

A *real* fruit bar! 2008-01-21
I tried a Lara Apple Pie bar over the holidays (from my stocking) for the first time. I was immediately sold because it's really off the beaten granola-y path.
Don't let the "pie" part fool you--this isn't sugary sweet--thank goodness. The calories are low, but the bar is full-flavored. You realize that it's actually food, not a fruit flavored snack. When you look at the ingredients, it lists only fruit and nuts--no artificials, or lab words.
I keep these at work to pull me through the morning until lunch. The box I bought contains three flavors: apple (my favorite), cherry (excellent), and pecan pie (husband says those are great too). We are using the subscription service to get a box of these bars every two months.

You can taste the natural-ness of the product... it's energizing. The flavors are pure. I didn't like the Pecan Pie bar, but the other two were good. I think Key Lime Pie is my favorite flavor (not included here).

I LOVE these bars! They're raw, moist, chewy and sweet. I've been eating them for about a year, off & on (there's lots of other flavors besides these three). My favorites are pecan and cashew but the apple is awesome too. I tend to choose the cherry less often; it's a great bar too just not my favorite flavor. The size of the bars makes them great to tuck into any bag for snacks when traveling. Luv 'em!
