Disc One is an eight song CD and Disc Two is a full length DVD: Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli grew up in Lajatico, a rural village in Tuscany, where his family still farms nearby. Last July, on the slopes of his ancient hill town, a special theater was constructed for a one-night-only concert of his greatest popular hits along with new songs performed to honor the occasion. Some famous musical friends dropped by and the magical result is Andrea Bocelli Vivere Live in Tuscany.

Joining Andrea for the new songs are grandissimo sassofonista Kenny G, trumpeter Chris Botti, piano virtuoso Lang Lang, Italian pop star Eliza, and legendary musician, songwriter and producer David Foster. Helping with the hits: favorite divas Sarah Brightman, Heather Headley and Laura Pausini.

Surveying the breathtaking landscape that provides the backdrop for the festivities, Bocelli introduces the telecast with the passion of a true Toscano. It s my land, he says, a land that loves silence as much as I do. If I break this silence with my voice, it s because I want to pay tribute. Music penetrates this land; it flows across it and flies off far away. It s a message of love.

Tuscany is beautiful, Andrea is never better than in this DVD. Enjoy. And plan to visit Tuscany (which I'm doing this coming year, and for a concert in the same location as the one in this DVD)!!

This is a great DVD/CD for Bocelli. I've watched it many times over and over again. The songs are awesome!!! One of the best ever!!!

Fantastic!! Since his first cross-over CD/DVD, "Under The Desert Sky", I have awaited another such set. I have listened and viewed it many times and it just gets better. One of our most prized operatic voices heard today. The wonderful artists that appeared on stage and performed with him were outstanding. The backdrop of the Tuscany countryside was beautiful and well chosen. I look for more of these entertaining concerts which I prefer over classic opera.

Bocelli is Always Great!

The CD portion was shorter than expected, but the quality of the music/sound is wonderful.
Seeing Bocelli live and in person would be great, but the DVD is the second best thing to it!

I have thoroughly enjoyed both the DVD and CD in this package. The concert is a joy to listen to and to watch as the various artists join Andrea Bocelli in his native Tuscany. There is a wonderful mix of musical genre with many talented artists that guarantee you will find something to enjoy. Being able to take the CD along with me simply extends the delight of the music as I call to mind the video images from the concert as I listen.

I like the duets played in that concert, and the scenario, wonderful. All of his music is so lovely, and sharing his music with all the world; his music gives me so much peace.

Absolutely mesmerizing. Other reviewers have already stated the beauty of this DVD/CD set, and I agree completely. The DVD of the concert in Tuscany is almost surreal. The man is an amazing talent and his duets with the other performers are wonderful. Do yourself a big favor and buy this DVD/CD set. You won't regret it.
