Those what it's suppose to with a few negatives

This is my second iSkin purchase-I had bought one last year for my 2nd Gen iPod Nano. I new that the silicone sleeve would attract dust but I didn't care so much because I knew it would do its job.
It protects the iPod touch from shock and scratches. There are only two things that annoy me.
1. Dust gets inside the outline of the front cover. I have to dig with something thin to get it out
2. The protective film that goes on the screen creates bubbles. I had a hard time putting it on and getting rid of them.
All in all, I think it does a pretty good job for $18. It definitely keeps the iPod in mint condition.
Junk, the clip broke for few months of use.

The clip was cut in half yesterday, only 2 months of use, the plastic clip is easy to be broken in half. Now, I only have the case with it.
scratched with pixels DOA

This item arrived a bit scratched with a couple of dead pixels. I'm otherwise enjoying it, but it's a slippery devil. Dropped it behind my nightstand once and dented the case, but it still seems to work fine. I just wish Apple would provide some software a little less crappy than iTunes.

Lint Magnet 2008-03-05
There is no way that iSkin should be charging $30 for this. Even at $18 or whatever Amazon is currently charging this is overpriced. The item is fairly attractive until it is constantly covered in lint and dust. The headphone jack ripped with very light usage within 10 days of purchase. Completely downgrades the excellent form factor of the Touch. Use a screen protector (and back protector if you care about that sort of thing) and a sleeve as a case so that you can enjoy the great look and feel of the Touch.
Great protection for IPOD but Poor clip design 2008-02-29

Great light/small protective option for itouch 2008-02-05
I spent a while deciding whether I wanted a folio style case, a hard plastic case, or a skin for my itouch. I eventually decided I would forfeit some protection for sleeker size. The iskin is great - very easy to put on, includes a screen cover, and the belt clip is removable if you don't want it to stay on. Coverings of power button & bottom button seem just as sensitive as when there was no skin on them. Opening on bottom for power & for headphones are flaps that you can push shut if you're not using them. Opening for head phones accommodates L shaped headphone connectors (some seem to only accept the apple headphone plugs which are straight). Front top of skin has a small square cut out to sense ambient light - not really sure what that's for but my itouch works flawlessly so I guess it works at whatever it does. Overall I think this was a great purchase, everyone who sees my itouch asks me about the skin!
