Average Camera

I purchased this camera with high expectations on the 12MP. The quality of the pictures is not much better than the 7.1 MP I was using. The camera also seems to eat batteries. Picture quality at night is less than impressive. I will keep using it and maybe this is as good as it gets, I don't know.
Camera Has It All EXCEPT?

This camera was a Christmas present for my wife and she was so excited. Even had good results for first 50 pics. Then it started. Batteries, batteries and more batteries to finish up Christmas Eve. What a disappointment. Have to send back to Amazon (I THINK AMAZON IS THE ONLY PLACE FOR ONLINE SHOPPING. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GODOD THINGS.) PS We used 12 batteries on Christmas Eve and even bought a charger and rechargeable batteries. These did not last any longer.
I LOVE this camera!!!

Product was received defective. The camera wouldn't stay turned on despite having new batteries.

Very Nice Camera

I am so happy we got this camera. The 12MP takes great pictures, capturing lots of detail. It took some playing with to figure out which settings to use. There is no external mic for the video, but it does okay picking up most voices.

I bought this camera in july and took it with me on vacation with me to florida and the shots were beautiful!!! the HD video looks fantastic but make sure to get a high quality memory card. the one bad thing about this camera is the display. so far it has cracked twice in my pocket and once in a case so make sure that where ever you decide to carry it has a LOT of "wiggle" room. This is a great piece of equipment and an amazing value as well!!! definetly reccomended for any photographer on a budget or at all!
Excellent Camera

I have had this camera since June of 2008. I purchased it for myself as a birthday present and I must say it has proven to be one of the more note worthy expenditures on something that is intended for leisure use. The video is not the best quality around, my main complaint is the poor audio capture that the camera has and then i remember...it is s digital still camera first and foremost. Cons aside, I don't know where some of the bozos got their camera or what they expected. Me? bought mine from a wal-mart. Folks, i will be very clear about this. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER AND MORE CAPABLE CAMERA FOR THE PRICE. I hear complaints about blurry pictures and what not. Look people, i don't mean to insult your intelligence...wait, yeah i do. Anyways, If you know the functions of this camera, your pictures will not be blurry. this is not a C-class kodak easyshare that a 10 year old can use. you might actually have to crack the manual here people. when you do, trust me, you will see that I'm right. What it boils down to is you get a bit more than what you pay for in this little bundle. Take it while you can. But if you want better quality anything than what you would get here...the choice is simple. Pay more buy, another camera, and quit bitching.

I was excited when I purchased this camera.. 12 megapixels, optical zoom! I bought it in September 2007. And it was treated so very well..no dropping, no nothing, hardly used it..
In September 2008, it started to freeze and die. Fresh batteries didn't help. Sometimes it turned on, sometimes not. Now it is permanently opened..the lens extended..and it will not turn on.
I had to buy a new camera in October (Nikon- I didn't make the same mistake twice) so I could take photos on my trip to see family.
I wrote several detailed emails to Kodak. They just recommended new batteries and other nonhelpful thoughts. Now I can't use the camera. Should I toss it, repair it? They do not replace defective cameras and they will not pay for repair, though there was ostensibly a year warranty on the darn thing. I don't really know what a warranty is worth. Nothing, apparantly.
My advice is- DO NOT BUY this camera..be wary of Kodak products. No help will be forthcoming should you get a crappy product. Maybe all digital camera makers are like this...I don't know yet.
