Quality is excellent

Bottle seals well without having to tighten it very much. I keep 2 of these in the fridge at all times. I'm not used to drinking out of metal containers so it seemed funny at first, but after a couple weeks I don't notice any difference. This bottle will fit into standard bottle holders for bicycles but is a tight fit and gets scuffed up pretty quick. For mountain biking I'll stick with the old plastic bottles, but I now use these bottles for everything else.
Kanteen Vs Sigg again

As I read some of the negative reviews concerning this product, I'm surprised that most feel that the SIGG bottles are better. I'm of the opposite opinion. I used both bottles for long periods and I'm definitely with the KK group. First of all, I'm an avid biker and I have tried many types of water bottles. Plastics were the first ones I used. I quickly found that w/o flavoring, plain water tasted just awful in these cheap containers. I then bought expensive polycarbonate only to find that this material had health issues running rampant.
I then discovered SIGG bottles and I thought that this bottle was close to ideal because they were lightweight and didn't have a taste. Unfortunately the bottles dented easily, the sports caps were difficult to unlock, and the aluminum would rust on the top of the bottles where lining ended. Also, the neck was small making cleaning and viewing difficult. There were health concerns too as I tried in vain to find the chemical composition of the lining. Reportedly it was some resin but nothing definitive, probably a trade secret. I was suspicious of the lack of info on the material but at time I couldn't find an alternative. As fortune would have it, last winter, I left the SIGG in my car over night after a bike ride and the bottle cracked due to the freezing water.
After combing the internet again for alternatives, I decided it on the kleen kanteen. Although heavier than the SIGG, these are the best and safest bottles available. I have had none of the bad issues with the SIGG bottles but they do share one thing in common--there is no taste. The KK sports cap works great and easier to open than the SIGG (though I did like SIGG's idea of a locking top.) And though it scratches easy, and is not the best looking bottle, they are very durable, easily surviving multiple drops without a dent. So much better than the SIGG. The only real negative is the weight, but considering the many positives, this is just a minor issue.
Klean Kanteens Rock!

We love these stainless steel bottles and use them daily...exercise, car trips, etc. An added bonus is their use inside our home. We have curious toddlers and pets who love to sample drinks out of glasses. Needless to say, we had a LOT of beverage spills before we started to use our Kleen Kanteens in the carpeted areas of our home. They wash up well and are healthier both for you as well as the environment. If those benefits aren't enough, think of all the $$ you'll save NOT paying for plastic bottles all the time!

Absolutely the best canteen/water bottle I've ever owned. Water doesn't pick up any flavors, and the steel is tough.
Highly recommended.
Works well for me

This water bottle has worked well for me. Just be careful not to over-tighten the lid, or else you will have a hard time getting it off! It doesn't have to be all that tight in order to keep the water inside.
great, safe sippy!

What could be better than clean tasting water?
2008-09-01
I love this water bottle. When I first got it, I did notice a slight (very slight) metallic scent when I would drink from it, but I've adjusted to it and the taste is just so much better in comparison with the plastic bottles I was using before. It's also very well designed, imho. The mouth size is perfect - wide enough to drink from easily, narrow enough to keep from spilling all over yourself. As an added bonus, water doesn't catch as much in the threads as with my old plastic bottle, so I don't drip water all over myself anymore either. Highly recommend.

The drink bottle is just the right size for my mother-in-law who is a diabetic and it keeps her water colder for her to drink when out. Great service for the company too. Just wish there was more choices of insulated sleeves for this size bottle.Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottles
great bottle but wish drinking spout was included and not an option

Great bottle, convenient and easy to tote. Don't have to spend money on bottled water and no worry about chemicals from plastic bottles leaching into the water. Kept water colder for long period of time. I have also been stopped by many people who admired the bottle and asked where I got it.
hard on fillings!

I drank from klean cantine for about a month. In the first week my fillings started getting sensitive. I didn't connect the two, however, it was quite immediate. I even went to the dentist who said he saw nothing and thought I may need a root canal! Then I thought about the water, stopped drinking from it, and my teeth are just returning to normal over a month later.
In short, buy at your own risk.
Me, I went SIGG.
