Nice Project

I have really enjoyed Algebra's CD. There are a couple of "favorites" that I listen to over and over (i.e. What Happened).
Something New

I first heard of Algebra while I was having an intimate session. They played her single "What Happened" on the Music Choice Soul Channel. I love the song so much that I had gotten distracted from he person I was with. Her voice is amazing. After purchasing her cd and listening to the songs I rated the overall album a 4. Some of the strongest songs on the cd would have to be "At This Time", "What Happened", "Tug of War", and my favorite on the whole entire cd "Come Back". These songs stand out on the cd because of her vocals. The next songs in line that are worth listening to would have to be "Halfway", "Happy After", "Can I Keep You", and "Now and Then". Again all good songs. As for the others, they are good songs just not as strongs as the others. I listen to the cd all the way through everynight and prob. will be for the rest of the summer. If you want to hear another great song by Algegra Blessett, a song she has with Anthony Hamilton titled "She Was Just a Friend". It's a great song.
It's About Time

I originally heard the first single "U Do It For Me" 2 years ago(that's how old this album is)on 96.3 FM WHUR and fell in love with the song. I waited and waited for the Cd to be released but Kedar (the label) did nothing to release the album at the time. I even called the label in NYC and asked. Still nothing. The video was and still is showing on You Tube. It just so happened that my computer went down and I lost all my music I had on my hard drive including this song. When my computer was repaired, I pulled up her name to down load the song (for FREE) again, all of these different songs came up by Algebra. I immediately went into amazon.com and discovered the album had finally been released. Thank God!!!! I love the whole CD. All though I down loaded it for free, I still went to my local music store and bought one. This CD is worth every penny of it.
Worth the wait

I witnessed Algebra Blessings years ago and thought "I can't wait for the artist to release her debut". Well, unfortunately due to the many hassles and issues of the recording industry...I had to do just that. But I assure you with one listen of this disc; you'll know that the wait was well worth it. Algebra, with sheer calculation, blesses each track on her album PURPOSE. Production and arrangement are superb. The single "What Happened?" is an imprint for Quiet Storm programming worldwide.
Absolutely FANTASTIC @}->---

I'll be really honest, and say I had never heard of Algebra until I came across her on iTunes when the mini-store led me to her. I checked out a few samples of her music, and right there and then I bought a copy of her CD. It is simply fantastic and awesome. I don't really know who she is still, but her voice is superb and heavenly and the music is soulful with jazz tones and some up-tempo songs (Can I Keep U? - one of my favourites). I really believe this girl is going somewhere - she has one of the best voices I've heard and if you are a fan of R&B, Soul, Jazz and Pop, then this cd is something you have to check out for yourself. There is 14 songs here and I love every single one of them. Do yourself a favour and go grab a copy. It's amazing and a great new talent.
BEST OUT, PERIOD!

Please please please people do not sleep on Algebra! THis girl is BAD with a capital B. If you are looking for real soul gutwrenching music then look no further! From beginning to end Algebra delivers! I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is the best album of 2008 IMO!!
cd with a purpose

Throughout her cd "Purpose" you can fell the drive and determination that she exhibits throughout especially after the road that took her to finally getting this excellent first cd to finally see the light of day.
After many holdups and whatnot "Purpose" is finally on us and its one that should garner much attention from people that already knew about her through whatever channels. But also people like me that just decided to check this out and see what's really going on with cd. Its an excellent first effort and through each track, Algebra has a jazzy, old school vibe to her voice that really serves the cd very well.
I hope that she continues to gain more attention and a stronger fan base that will wonders for her in the future and maybe some touring as well. So that the name Algebra will be known by many more folks in the music business.

Algebra album release took a long time to come out! This sister has a very nice voice and the early selections on this cd are really good, and the last few songs were not so good, overall good first cd , she should have not compared to BADU, STONE ,SCOTT....not quite there yet.
Highly Impressed

I think Algebra's album is very impressive. I was looking for new music, because I was tired of recycling Jill Scott and Raheem Devaughn's albums. I have to admit, when I first heard of her I thought I wouldn't be impressed. But I have to eat my own words. Algebra is very soulful, and her music actually has a meaning. She is my new favorite artist. I know she will have a long and prosperous career.
