I'm so glad I chose this camera over the other options I had. The picture quality is amazing, the video quality is amazing and the battery life is amazing. It's so simple and easy to use and you get wonderful results. I definitely recommend this camera. There's not a thing that I don't like about it.

Unfortunately I was only able to take about 100 photos before I got a lens error message with this camera. For as much research as I had done before purchasing a camera, I wasn't expecting to have this happen with a Nikon. I have owned a Nikon Coolpix 5900 for the last few years and unfortunately it was dropped by accident and met it's demise. BTW, the 5900 is a GREAT camera for a simple point and shoot. I have taken a few 1,000 pictures and have enjoyed it every time it's come out of it's case.
I never got much time to play with this new camera but I'm giving it 3 stars because I believe that it would have probably been a good camera but not a great camera. I know that it did so much more than my last camera but for some reason I didn't care for the feel of it. Nothing specific I can point out though.
So I have since returned it to AMAZON and that was the most painless experience I have ever had returning something in my life! Yes I became gun shy to purchse this same Nikon again and instead purchased the Canon SD1100is. I have only owned it for about 4 days but so far I am loving it. Hopefully it will stand the test of time!
I am still a believer in the Nikon product and have been brand loyal to them for years. The Canon brand definitely has a level to live up to but I know that 4 days does not a perfect camera make. I look forward to stretching it's limits.

Great little camera 2008-07-17
I paid $179.00 for this at a local retail store and bought one on Amazon for $155.00 for my daughter, based on one reviewer who 'assured' me that all kids today take pictures every day and should just conveniently have their own. My daughter has the camera with her all the time, in her pocket, her purse, at school, on the bus, at a restaurant. It does seem to be the newest, coolest little camera to take random shots and then download them onto her facebook.
I, a non-techy, am impressed with the large screen, the ability to zoom, crop and review quickly, and the thin, lightweight frame. Mine came with a case, which I think is an essential if you are particular as I am about scratches and dropping accidents. The handle also proved important to me so as not to let it slip when taking a shot.
The battery lasted throughout over 200 pictures on my last trip to Texas and the photos are detailed and rich in color, even ones taken in a cave! I recommend this little Nikon gem.
Tiny, inexpensive, but limited 2008-07-14
I had a chance to test this tiny point-and-shoot extensively over a weekend. The S210 has takes acceptable candid shots outdoors and with the flash on, but its performance in other settings is subpar. Indoor shots without the flash wind up invariably blurry (there's no optical image stabilization or shutter speed settings to compensate) and shots with the ISO above 400 generate noise that's apparent even on the camera's 2.5" display. The price and form factor certainly make it attractive to casual users, but I found its feature set too basic and its performance too limiting for my satisfaction.
