Nice toy, but cheaply made 2008-07-13
I received this product last week. Quite a speedy delivery I might add, but that's beside the point. A few nights ago, I was looking through the pictures when I accidentally dropped it from my computer chair, a height of about a foot and a half. Now the button to go forward doesn't work, the plastic piece on the inside that registers the button push to the circuit board broke, and now I'm stuck with just the one directional button.

Nice picture quality and the software is easy to use, but these things are cheaply made. Guess I shouldn't really expect much from a promotional thing like this.

Nice little product 2008-07-09
I don't get all of the whining about this product. I did have to drag the software into "my documents" but it worked. This thing worked nicely once I got the software installed. Holds 60 pics like it said it would...heck, it works so good I ordered 4 of them and gave a couple of them out as gifts. Every one of us has no problems and everyone we show them too wants to know where to get one. I'm not saying EVERYONE should get out there and buy one but after ordering 4 and having no problems like a bunch of others out there..maybe, just maybe it's the user that is the problem. A little computer knowledge may help, or having someone with you that does have some computer knowledge to help you get started.

A Happy User of the Coby Keychain Viewer 2008-07-08
The Coby keychain viewer has created quite a stir among our friends. It's a great way to carry your favorite photos of our grandson and his family.
We actually ordered several others for gifts as the price at Amazon was much better than any other site we found.

Not good for everyone, but ok for some 2008-07-07
I purchased two of these to load wedding pictures onto right after my wedding to give to our fathers. I tested out the picture loading ability and software well before the wedding. Neither of my newer computers (a mac with OS X and a PC with windows XP) were able to recognize the device. The program that comes with the viewer would say that the device was either not present or not in the right mode, even though it was. I even used the USB prober utility of my mac to see what it thought was plugged in. I didn't see it showing up as a USB device at all, regardless of the mode I put it in. In what I thought was a futile effort, I pulled out my 7-year-old sony vaio and presto... it worked! The computer, after thinking about it for a few seconds, recognized it as a USB mass storage device.

Here's the moral of this story: this device can be frustrating to use. Do not give it to a friend as a gift UNLESS you plan to load all the pictures onto it yourself ahead of time, so the person can simply use it as a way to carry around nice pictures you have given. If you give it to someone who is computer savvy and stubborn (like me), that person may end up spending hours trying to get it to work. If you give it to someone who is not, they will most likely not be able to use it.

In the end, you get what you pay for. I was able to make these into nice gifts with a little time, effort, and frustration. I paid very little money, but made up for it in the time that I spent. And, well, I guess that's ok!

Don't buy Coby products. 2008-07-07
My wife purchased 1 of these items for her father for Father's day and filled it with pictures of his grandchild. Her father loved the gift. She used a Mac computer to load the pictures and had no problems. I decide I wanted one for myself and we also decided this would be a nice gift for other family members. We purchsed 4 more. We gave one away as a gift, one was for myself, and 2 were for upcoming gifts. I attempted to use the one for myself and the computer would not recognize it. I used 2 different computers running XP. I went to the Coby website and the website says the problem is the USB cable. I then contacted the Customer Service Line. They told me the only thing to be done was to return the item. I questioned this since the website says I only need a new cable. I was told that they do not ship replacement parts. The customer service rep talked to me like I was a first grader who had never used a computer. The treatement from Coby is completely unacceptable. I am returning the broken one and the other 2 becuase I do not want to give out gifts that don't work and both people these are going to use Windows XP. I recommend never buying this product or anything else by Coby. They made quite clear that they are going to ship junk and do nothing to fix the bad items. There customer service rep also treats you like you are not smart enough to use they product when the problem is they ship faulty junk.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. 2008-07-24
I ordered this through Pepsi Stuff and the second I recieved it in the mail (really quick shipping (2-3 days)) I plugged it into my Windows XP to see if it would work. I first installed the CD and had that go through, and then after the program was fully installed, I plugged in the Photo Keychain and my XP read it perfectly fine.

This Photo Keychain looks awesome, it's picture quality is nice, and makes a good keychain. I have no complaints on it so far and I'm about to get more Pepsi Points to buy another one of these for my Dad. Thanks Pepsi!

Cool Key Chain 2008-07-24
Well, I am glad I gave this product a try. I have gotten a couple different digital key chains in the past and had to return them due to software issues. This one was easy to load and easy to use. Very pleased with it. Will consider getting these for Christmas presents for my family.

DO NOT BUY!!! 2008-07-22
I purchased this product and had major problems with it. It does not work with a mac and only after several attempts did it work with windows, or so I thought. When I came back to my computer to load the pictures, it stopped working. The key chain would not pull up the options menu. It would only turn on and whenever anything was pressed it would turn off. Don't get this product, it is defective and will only make you frustrated and upset that you purchased it.

Cool photo keychain 2008-07-14
This keychain is a great way to keep pictures handy - what better place than on the keychain that I always seem to have with me... Loading the pictures was easy although the instructions provided are not the greatist. Setting the time/date was easy. You have to remember to "charge it up" so that you can see the pictures.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
