Great! 2008-05-12
I love this CD. The whole thing, not just a couple songs. I really like this guy's voice, hopefully there are more CD's to come!!

Here we go again... 2008-05-09
First of all ... another album with TERRIBLE, TACKY cover art. Really does not give you a good impression before you even hear a note of it.

Saving Abel is just another in the long line of formulaic arena rock bands (see also: Nickelback, Hinder, Daughtry, 3 Doors Down) that got signed because, sadly, this is the sound of the moment. Everything that you'll hear on this album, you've already heard hundreds of times before. But that's alright - bands like this will be playing the county fair circuit about 5 years from now, since they're nothing more than radio schlock also-rans. They'll have their hit single or two, go out on tour with some buffoon like Kid Rock, and vanish shortly thereafter.

This decade is going down as one of the worst for music in a long, long time. Bands like this are only reinforcing my viewpoint on this. Generic, cliched, and polished to a fault, Saving Abel are the antithesis of what rock music is really about. I would instead recommend something chock full of brash attitude like The Hives, or Radiohead who continue to put out albums that are head and shoulders beyond tripe like this.

Butts & Bows 2008-05-09
Reading many of the revues already posted, I guess some are put off by the obvious copying of the Stereoside album jacket. However, I'm not sure exactly what the preferences are of those who didnt like it, but personally if every CD I manage to buy for the rest of my life ALL have a picture of a hot chick's rear end on the cover, then I would be okay with it!!! As a matter of fact, I just had a thought---How about album jackets categorized by genre? Hard Rock groups--Tight Jeans___Alt Rock groups--short shorts___Progressive Rock groups___See Through Nighties---Heavy Metal groups---String Bikinis!!!! Now there's an idea!!! I might never quit browsing through my CD's. Seriously, I imagine I have 30-40 different artists in my collection from this genre, all of whom basically sound alike. I love the sound but if you picked a song from one of the CD's at random and played it for me I probably wouldnt be able to tell you which CD or artist it came from. But this Saving Abel album quite honestly has better songs, with more advanced song structure than most of the others in my collection including Stereoside. THIS ALBUM QUITE SIMPLY HAS GOOD SONGS. If you can look past the un-original cover, I strongly suggest you check it out. I know that when I put in the file with the other 30-40 similar artists, it will stand out from the crowd!!!!

Not the only "real" rock out there 2008-05-05
If you think this is a return of "real" rock you must have been living under a rock. There are far better bands out there that have the 80s or rock n roll vibe. I thought this would be more rocking than it is but it sounds pretty soft.

Average - but a good listen 2008-05-03
I can't say the album had anything real memeorable, but it's worth a listen. It's something you'd put on when you want to hear something to rock to.

How Far Have We Degenerated As Musicians And Music Lovers? 2008-07-21
i'm at work and my boss subjects me to mainstream music all day, everyday. i'm a musician and i have patience. i know that not everyone likes everything. i can appreciate ignorance because, of course, where would companies like Virgin be if it couldn't thrive on horrible bands like saving abel?
when sa's song "Addicted" came on the air i just couldn't help myself here. i'm not going to say that it's the worse song i've ever heard, but that's only because i can't think of the worst at the moment. i will say that as a human being that loves the art that this world has had to offer so far, these people should be ashamed of themselves. from their album cover to their lyrics, i can't think of anything, but that these people actually live and breath and make a lot of money in the process. can you think a worse sin?
there's no point in mincing why singing about a girl orally pleasing the singer and still talking down to her is just horrible. this band sucks. you know it. i know it and Virgin knows it. but this is what Virgin records does.
i just wish i didn't have to hear this crap on the radio.

GREAT CD!!! 2008-06-30
I bought this and Stereoside and LOVE them both. I play the, non stop. SO nice to find some good rock bads out there.

Great first CD! 2008-05-30
This is a great CD, first song to last. Saw them live at the Beale Street Music Fest in Memphis in May, and they put on such a great show. Jared (lead singer) has an awesome voice, and great stage presence. The CD is well mixed too. If you like rock with good a chorus, you'll be pleased!

Great Album 2008-05-30
This album is fantastic. I like every song and play it at least once a day. If your looking for a new CD for the summer or just to add to you collection this is a great choice. Every song is good and the band is great live
