You have to just love this tv. Hooked it up to the digital box and WOW what a picture. Glad I waited because it's a fabulous set.

Just purchased this HDTV 3 weeks ago and so far I have not been disappointed. Before this TV, I had a fifteen year old Toshiba and that was starting to go out. A few months ago, I started looking around for different Samsungs( I knew I wanted a Samsung because of their reputation for great HDTVs) Their were a few that I was looking at but wasn't thrilled with the prices. Finally, a couple months after my old TV started flickering, I started looking at HDTV sets again. I first found this set at Best Buy for 899. A couple days later I saw it at Circuit City for 799. After a few minutes of thinking, I ordered it online and picked it up. I have DirecTV(non HD, so far) and I also bought a DVD HD converter(also a Samsung). While the regular TV isn't perfect, it still looks really good. The DVD up converter is also really good. Very pleased with the TV and can't wait until I get more HD programming.
Beautiful Picture 2008-05-03
After much research, settled on this LCD tv. I was not disappointed! Took it of the box and just attached my coax from my satellite service and voila the most beautiful picture appeared. The colors are spectacular and the sound clear and crisp. The black enclosure with the speakers at the bottom make for a good looking tv.

All of the other reviews cover pretty much all of the other "pros" for this TV and I agree with them 100%. I wanted to mention its quality for gaming.
I knew before I bought a new tv that me and my roomate would be using it alot for gaming on the xbox 360. I tried a couple of others with an 8ms response time and they just weren't quick enough. When I decided I was going to need something with 6ms or better I assumed I would have to spend a great deal more. Then I found this tv.
We play a variety of different types of games and all of them look and flow great. From Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 to racing games, sports games, and even GTA IV that just came out. In my experience there has been no delay from the controller to the screen and I couldn't be happier.
Great deal. Buy it.
