Spectacular!! 2008-05-09
What do you expect when you decide to spring for a new HD TV? A spectacular image that blows away your previous non-HD television, right? The Panasonic Viera plasma tv is exactly that - it is a spectacular image, and if you love sports, get the plasma TV. The blacks are black and the contrast is amazing. Love the 3 HDMI ports on the new Viera set and programming seems quite easy (even my wife can figure it out - HA!) Anyway, if you want a fabulous reliable image get the Panasonic Viera Plasma.

Couldn't Be Happier 2008-04-28
I agonized for quite a while about this purchase, as it's quite a sizable one.

LCD or Plasma, 720P or 1080P...and while I know that you don't necessarily need 1080P, I'm so happy with this purchase, the picture is phenomenal, set up was easy, and it's just so pretty...even when it's turned off, the set is gorgeous.

I can't believe I was without HD for so long!

so far so good 2008-04-25
I just got this set which replaced a toshiba projection hd which had repairs once a year. Picture quality is very good with nice blacks and crisp edges. set up was fairly easy except my dish net box did not like the hdmi connection... one new dish reciever later all is well. My only objection is the sound quality is only fair and the set needs the addition of a surround system. for now my old sony reciever and bose speakers will have to do....otherwise i would have given it 5 stars.

This is a great plasma 2008-04-23
This plasma is awesome (note: we have hd cable through comcast) we previously purchased (and returned) an lcd 1080p
this plasma is great because of the following:
the blacks are very black
the images are crystal clear and not distorted (on cable and on dvd)
we don't have a blu ray or anything only a basic 7 year old component input dvd player and we watched "no country for old men" and it looked superb...I can't wait to get a blu ray.
HOWEVER! I want other people to know if you want to mount this tv on the wall that this TV is NOT VESA compatible...we went through 2 mounts trying to find one that worked...you will not have any luck getting help from Panasonic, they want you to buy their $300 mount--

Great TV, bad shipping!!!!! 2008-04-17
Just go to the store and buy this! We all shop on Amazon because we want to save money. However, Amazon is using a shipping company called CEVA Logistics that ONLY delivers on weekdays. That's right, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE OFF WORK AND WAIT 4 HOURS FOR DELIVERY!!! Ask yourself, are you saving any money now?

I made a call to Amazon and spoke with a manager as well. Nothing they will do to help. Sorry lady, you're SOL.
