Customer Reviews
Great Product

I've been trying out different brands of Wireless-N products, as well as different configs (i.e. PCI, PCMIA, USB). This has been the 1st item that I have used that worked correctly right out of the box. I am using XP Pro, so I can't comment on how it does with VISTA.
Horrible Product

This think has stopped working more times than I hope to count. It does not work well, and falls off the router (netgears top of the line one) from 10 feet away. Don't expect help from Netgear, as I was on hold with them for 2 days, no help. Remember to do the two bizzzarre bios upgrades, or it will not work at all. Then it will work occationally for you. Forget it!!
Not Impressed

I bought this item to use with a RangeMax WNDR3300 Dual Band Wireless-N Router to provide a stable connection to a computer in a remote room. I could not get an N connection at all. Even the G connection was not very stable and I lost it daily. I got a better signal using the internal adapter in an HP laptop while sitting right next to this adapter. Netgear tech support tried to convince me that if I could connect to the internet at all that I should be happy with it. I'm not.
The Maximun range is hype

I bought a Duo Wireless N Router WNDR3000, and the RangeMax WNDA3100 Dual Band wireless Adapter so I could reach to my RV garage, approximately 100 feet away. IT WOULD NOT WORK. So I bought the Access point, which required me to run wiring 3/4 of the way. That worked, but all I get is a low signal. Althought, The wireless N is better security and is faster, The Linksys Wireless G range expander that I was using give a stronger signal.
Good product, AWFUL software

The GUI that is used to connect to the WNDA3100 is abysmal. Once you've installed the software, you'd think it would be as simple as scanning for networks, connecting to a network, and saving the settings as a profile. WRONG. Clicking an "Apply" button after selecting your pre-configured profile pops up a window that says "Validate Settings"... followed by no connection to the network, even though it can be seen with 94% signal strength. The software looks to be done in Adobe Flash, complete with fade-in and fade-out effects, so everything takes a long time to start or complete. In fact, trying to run the latest software package (v1.3 as of June 2, 2008) resulted in a BSOD on my laptop. That might have been due to low memory, but it shouldn't require that much power to connect to it in the first place.
At this point, I may sell the WNDA3100, take a slight loss and buy a different wireless adapter instead.
Fantastic wireless adapter...

I am using this adapter to link up to a Netgear RangeMax WNDR3300 Dual Band Wireless-N Router. The connection with this duo is tremendous and my speed tests are similar through a wireless connection as they are through a direct connection to a cable modem. Very impressive. Because this is a dual band adapter, it is compatible with G routers as well. I was able to test this adapter with my older linksys G speedboost enabled router and was able to get higher speeds than with my Linksys adapter (also with speedboost and also very fast!!). VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Piece of cake to install. Small, can either plug it directly into a USB port (good for laptops) or use a cable to connect to a desktop (I am doing this and it works fabulously).
Look no further!
