Customer Reviews
Not what they seem to be
2008-11-17
This product is not of the quality that one might expect. We installed the bulbs, turned them on high for one hour (as directed in the paperwork that came with them). After 2 hours, one of the bulbs went out and never has come back on. We sent an email to the company to no avail. Within 3 days of using them during TV time, another bulb went out and will not come on anymore. Another situation we have experienced is that they do not dim as low as the incandescent bulbs we replaced them for. This means we are stuck with bright or brighter which is not acceptable. Had we known this, we would not have purchased this product. The lights are not what they claim to be and you will not get any satisfaction from customer service.
Still Need a Little More R&D

We purchased 3 at first just to test them. We learned when they arrived that no other bulb on the same circuit can be incandescent. Since there are 4 bulbs per circuit, we tested with one bulb out.
The first batch seemed to work perfectly. We turned them all the way on and left them for one hour, followed the instructions exactly and they worked nicely -- unlike comments on other brands of dimmable CFLs, these dim all the way down until they are almost off. Complaints on other dimmable CFLs are that they only dim 50% to 70%.
We bought an additional 5 to finish the entire room, two circuits of 4 each. However, one of the bulbs on the second batch did not work at all. We contacted the company and so far have received no response. Bad customer service is not a complaint on the other brands of dimmable bulbs. A few days later, another bulb went dead. That is 2 out of 8. Not very good batting average.
I'm still hopeful for this particular brand, since they have been able to develop a bulb that dims more than 50%. They seem to lack only quality assurance and customer service.
