No special tools are needed to install the cable into the helm, and a captured nut on the engine end of cable prevents rooting around the bilges from dropping the nut. Kit includes the rotary helm, stainless steel cable and 90 degrees bezel. Standard 3/4'' tapered shaft. For boats up to 24'. Three turns lock-to-lock steering.

Great replacement

This product and vendor worked out great for us! We have a 16' Lowe (aluminum bass type boat) with a center manual steering. Everywhere I called wanted twice the price and had to order it. It took 8 days from ordering to delivery, and was a brand new packaged/sealed complete product. 10 minutes to replace and off we went! Thanks!
