Terrific Remote

This is one of the best remotes on the market for anyone who suffers from arthritic hands or poor vision. I bought this remote for my mother who suffers from moderate Alzheimer's and numbness in her hands. When you press any of the 6 buttons they light up which makes using the remote easier. The only draw back is not having the ability to select a particular channel without a numbered keypad; but that would take away from the simplicity of the remote. It is worth every penny of the low price and it is VERY easy to code with any TV set. I highly recommend this remote.

The Tek Pal TV remote control is a great device for senior citizens who have trouble with the large universal remotes with many tiny buttons.The Tek Pal has large buttons for On/Off,Volume and channel up/down and mute .It is simple and much easier to use.This remote is for a TV connected to a cable line without a cable box. I highly recommend it for an elderly person.

This is a great product. My mother has dementia and doing things like using a remote are very difficult for her. She seems to understand the buttons most of the time and this allows her to watch TV. She cannot remember how to operate the buttons on the TV but since this remote is very simple and easy to hold, she can operate her TV. I highly recommend this for anyone! It makes TV easy. It is easy to program to the TV.

Doesn't work with my televisions

Excellent Remote

This remote control that I purchased for my mom works excellently. She has Macular Degeneration and can not see very well close up. I needed to find her a remote that was easy to use and not confusing for her. This remote has only 6 buttons that light up. It is easy to use and works so well. She is no longer discouraged when trying to enjoy her TV. This remote was everything that it was advertised to be.

Great remote for people with memory loss or dementia

I bought this remote for my Grandmother who lives in a nursing home. She has Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Every time I would visit her I'd have to figure out how to reprogram her remote because she always finds that one button that clears the memory for the remote. I bought her this remote and she loves it, and better yet, can't un-program it. She says this is the best gift she's ever gotten and tells everyone who comes to see her. This is the best 20 bucks I've ever spent.

This remote is easy to program. Just put it in program mode (push two buttons together for a few seconds) then push one button repeatedly until the tv turns off. Then push another button to save the settings. It is simple to use and the writing is large and easy to see.

fantastic idea

This is a fantastic product. In this day & age of "universal" remotes, I looked all over for an easy remote for my 90 year old mother to use. This one is just that. If you can believe this, she had a little trouble figuring it out, but being 90, I guess that is normal. The remote reminds me a little of remotes in hospital rooms, with the exception that it doesn't shut off at a certain point. If only she didn't have "15,000" channels to go through, she wouldn't have problems. That isn't the remote's fault though. The nursing home where she lives called to ask where I got this remote. They talked about getting 10 or 15 to have on hand for residents that had trouble with their own TV remotes.
