The ologies are awesome books. The first one I bought is Dragonology and it is for my 11 year old grandaughters' birthday. It will be well received!

Got this for my oldest child. My daughter loves loves loves dragons. This series of book is just too much fun. Great way to encourage imaginative play... truly!

I bought this gift for my nephew who loves anything with dragons. Imagine his surprise when he saw this book for his birthday! I bought this book and the other Dragonology book. What gorgeous books! They looked like they had real leather covers. The prices on these two books could not be beat.
He was so enchanted with the beautiful pages that had foil on them. The model was like a separate gift for him. He immediately built it and it was simple enough for him to do it alone(age 8). It created a very real world of dragons for him.
If you are looking for a classy book and/or a great gift for your dragon lovers, then look no further for this is a great book at a great value. My big kid (my husband) loved it too!
Perfect for dorks like me! 2007-06-16
Only children younger than nine or fantasy dorks like myself would enjoy a model of a dragon they can actually hang in their bedroom. But I've got a lot more, similarly weird, things in my room -- so it's OK.
This set is amazing. I got it used, so a couple pieces were bent, but nothing broken. Great condition. Also, it was the European Dragon -- my favorite type -- and though I probably want to get the volumes to come, I'm glad the first was my favorite type of dragon.
I've now got three Dragonology items -- the handbook, the original book, and this.
This series is great for anyone who loves fictional factbooks, or just dragon nerds. Also, though I can't vouch for the other Ologies, Egyptology is excellent as well.

All of the "Ology" books are pure fun. Juvenile section? I wonder if they truly can appreciate the artwork and humor involved.

My son has this book and now all of the books of the same type. They are so beautiful even an adult cannot help but like to page through.
Do not give this to a child that may not take care of it due to their age or neglectfullness or you will be sorry.
