Looks nice but.... 2008-09-26
...I thought this was a cute camera bag, so I purchased it when I got my Canon PowerShot A590IS. Well!! I can barely get my iPod in there, which is about 1/3 of an inch thick. My camera is better that 1.5 inches at the thickest point. With the hard plastic 'backbone', there's just not enough give. I'd try something a bit bigger. Indeed I have to return this one- which is part of the low rating.

Excellent protection for camera 2008-09-24
The solid backing and soft interior provide the protection I want for my camera and screen. Good size for my Canon Powershot SD870. Hoodie part is nice for extra storage. As someone mentioned it takes a few seconds to get your camera out, but any case is going to delay reaction time.

A little too big for me 2008-09-23
I really like the case, but it was a little too big for my camera. The backing was a little too stiff, would not bend. Hard to fit in my small purses. Otherwise, good quality. Item was shipping very fast. I returned it, and my return was processed quickly as well.

Good 2008-09-21
thats good !
but the color in the photo looks to bright than the real product
thnks

I purchased for a Canon Powershot SD1100. I wasn't expecting one side to be hard. Also it is a little big for this product but works great for other things.

Nice form 2008-07-22
This case is pretty cute, but could use a little more function. I do appreciate the hard shell on the case back which does a nice job of protecting the screen, though. I likes it!

Good Looking but stitching failed 2008-07-17
Got this case for my new digital camera to take on a week and half vacation. It's small and fit nicely in my messenger bag and was easy to get camera in and out of however the stitching on the back of it started to unravel after day 5...

Definitely protects, not too convenient 2008-07-02
I personally LOVE all Built NY products. This one comes with a hard shell on the bottom half to protect the camera. However, because it completely closes with the top coming over it, it's very difficult to get the camera in and out very quickly to capture those "perfect shots" wherever you may be!

So if you are looking for a camera case that will protect as you travel, this is the one. Very durable, good quality... i would have just like a better top fixture like the regular Built NY electric pockets.

Review: ... "Click! The No Nonsense Guide to Digital Cameras" is misnamed. It covers a lot more than just cameras. In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

From the Back Cover The megapixel hype
The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
