Editorial Review
Dracula: Origin reveals the origins of the Dracula curse - that of a man tortured by the loss of a woman he held more precious than anything. He was offended because she would rather kill herself than give in to him. Slowly, the thirst for vengeance has done its work, turning the ardent defender of Christianity into a hardened servant of the Demon. Dracula begins celebrating terrifying satanic masses involving terrible atrocities. He was still alive, still human, until the day he drank his rival's blood and then made a pact, sealed for all eternity, which made him the first vampire. Take on the role of Professor Van Helsing, who is chasing down Dracula. The storyline will bring you to London, Egypt, Austria and of course Transylvania, the vampire's famous residence. Dracula himself is also on a quest for a mysterious manuscript that will give him the power to raise the dead. Prevent Dracula from finding and using this manuscript, and kill him. You'll liberate the souls of all those who have had the misfortune to cross his path.

Using conventional point and click gameplay, impeccable graphics and a rich storyline, you are led to London, Egypt, Austria, and of course, to Transylvania, in the famous castle of the great vampire. With a subtle combination of 2D environments and animated 3D characters, the game faithfully reproduces the world imagined by the celebrated author Bram Stoker, with all its associated motifs (horror, love, blood, crucifixes, stakes, garlic, etc.), in a disturbing, finely-realized and absorbing Gothic atmosphere.

Love horror 2008-09-25
Always love a good horror title, its been awhile for Dracula to finally appear again. Its nice to get back to some classics.

Another hit! 2008-09-06
If you have played the previous Dracula games this one will not dissappoint you! Stays pretty much to the story line and makes references to the previous games to keep the story going. Nina gets her self into some real pickles! The classic point and click and the investigation keeps you interested in finding out what happens which totally blew my mind! I sure wasn't expecting that! Good game!

ok 2008-08-09
the graphics on this game were fine, nothing spectacular. picks up on stoker's story line with its own twist, puzzles were easy to semi, nothing hard although some just don't seem to be needed. overall i gave this game 3 stars because it was interesting at times and i love vampire games.

Dracula Review 2008-08-02
I think this game would have been a lot of fun. But I got part way through, then saved what I had, and went to bed. When I went to continue playing, it said I had a game COPY, and would not let me play any further.

If you read page 3 of the Dracula booklet, it clearly states that some computers have this problem with this game!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I had to open the box to read page 3. So I have a game that I cannot play.

Don't miss this game! 2008-07-02
I have read a few reviews about Dracula: Origin on other sites that simply don't do this game justice. From beautifully constructed and colored screens to good voice acting to haunting original music - this adventure gives everything to you and more. The adventure game genre seems to have taken a back seat lately to first person combat shooters and hack and slash bloodfests, but I really think Frogwares (the creators of the recent Sherlock Holmes series including The Silver Earring, The Awakened, and Nemesis) is making a valliant effort toward rejuvinating this part of the industry. Do yourself a favor and don't miss this game!

adventure gem !!! 2008-06-24
This is adventure bliss.....well done.I am shocked i didnt see this coming, i thought this was going to be like the last few dracula games that were bland and dark and not exciting, boy was i wrong, this has to be one of my favorites..say definetly top 10 maybe even top 7.This game is almost perfect in every aspect.

great story, draws you in the further you go.10 times better than any dracula game in the past..they took something that had a great story and made a great game that nobody else has been able to do for the dracula series.

if you love games like tunguska, crime stories, agatha christie games, jack keane, black mirror, you will enjoy this. The puzzles are great, you combine objects in your inventory, you can press the space bar anytime to see all the hot spots if all else fails...always helps if you dont like to pixel hunt ,there is a lot of pixel hunting but the graphics are so good its fun.I had to look at a walkthrough 3 times..there are a couple tough ones..but once i saw the answer i was sure i would have gotten it had i stuck it through. There will be plenty of easy and medium puzzles to enjoy. The part i really like is when you go in a house say with a few rooms, and you get stuck..they wont let you leave the house, which is good because who wants to go searching a million places to see if they missed something. You know the answer is within your inventory or the few rooms you can search.

I really liked this game, well done to all involved,i couldnt stop playing it.the controls are fine, the voice overs are fine, the speech is fine, the dialoge is short and sweet, no boring conversations that you dont care about...what more can you ask for!

Dracula is blood thirsty for adventure... 2008-06-08
Dracula Origin is a point and click adventure game (Third person view) made by Frogwares Game Development Studio.

In my opinion I think this is the best adventure game since the classic old Sierra games. The graphics are great and adjustable. The puzzles are hard right from the beginning, but are fun and feel very rewarding when you complete them, but you have any trouble you can just hit the space bar and it will give you hints.

It also has amazing spooky ambient music always playing. Composed beautifully.

The game follows the story written by Bram Stoker "Dracula".

The game runs with no problem on any decent computer. You can adjust the graphics to fit your liking.

So If you enjoy spooky adventure, great storytelling, puzzles and vampires this game is for you.
Great game.
