I only heard a few of their songs before, but I loved them, and loved the CD even more when it arrived.
The condition was great, I always buy used Cd's off Amazon because they are always in great condition and a lot cheaper.
Cheers for the new music!
Metro Station Shakes It!

I love, love, love this CD! I heard the California song from iTunes and loved it. I listened to the samples of the other songs and HAD to have it! Every song is GREAT...they all have catchy beats and lyrics! I think that I have enough of Metro Station, but I just keep listening like I will never get enough! Listen to the samples and hear for yourself! :)
The Cars reincarnated in the 21st century

I am 40 years old and totally enjoyed Metro Station's debut CD for two reasons. First is that they sound like one of my favorite band The Cars. Second is the Filipino drummer Anthony Improgo. Pinoys rock too! There is so post about Trace Cyrus. I dont consider him the lead singer. Mason Musso is the lead because he can sing the high notes. Trace does the whispering long notes. However, both voices complement each other which is a unique combo that usually doesnt work. Anyone who grew up on 80s music will enjoy the album's nostalgic beat. When I first got the CD, I actually thought that "Shake It" was the worst song in the album. If that is the worst, imagine how good the rest of the album is. I was surprised to hear it on the radio as the first single.
It totally rocks!

If one was to make a musical time capsule of 2007 a collection of sounds and lyrics reflecting the energy of our moment it might be a good idea to drop in a copy of METRO STATION's eponymous debut record. Sure, the band is young (OK, still in fake ID territory), but Metro Station's brazenly catchy dance hooks and yearning lyrics perfectly capture what it feels like to be a teenager in today's culture. This is a band that was weaned on and made by the Internet, whose dedicated legion of online fans made them MySpace stars in a matter of weeks. This is a band that caught the early attention of ALTERNATIVE PRESS (earning a spot as one of the magazine's 22 Best Underground Bands), along with URB and TEEN VOGUE magazines, months before they signed to a label. Metro Station is a band that, despite their youth, have made their way from greasy mall jobs to recording with Motion City Soundtrack in the same year. They are truly a product of their times and their generation, and they are ready to take advantage of it.
It totally rocks!

Oh my gosh. This is the best c.d in the world. Amazingly Miley Cyruses bro is way better than her (Trace Cyrus). The best song on here is Control and Shake It. I am really glad I bought it and it was a good price for a brand new one. I prefer this C.D for people who like Techno and Rock and hate Miley Cyrus (like I do) The songs and beat is way better than Miley Cyruses junk. And by the way I am only 11.
My new favorite CD!

As a 29 year old, this is kind of embarrassing, but I LOVE this CD!! It is so much fun to listen to! It kind of reminds me of what the Cure would sound like if they were upbeat. I thought I might not "get" it or like it since I'm not a teenager and there are definitly lyrics about being a teen, but I still like it. If you like the "Shake, Shake" single, then get the album, it's all good!
Are you Serious??

This is serious guilty pleasure territory. After seeing the video I couldn't believe my eyes. They look like the obnoxious "emo" kids from high school. For all intents and purposes they should be playing horribly generic metal and/or acoustic tear jerkers, not making the some of the catchiest Electro-pop this side of the Killers. This sounds like the fun/beat of New Order meets the teenage drama of The Cure translated through the eyes of kids whom, if played New Order to, would probably think it was a Postal Service rip-off.
If they're serious, they lucked out and found the perfect mix of pubesent angst and earnest. If they're a joke, there the greatest thing since Kaufman.
A Must Get Item!
