Zoey Keeps It Going!
2007-08-17
Zoey Dean keeps her story of the A- list going in American Beauty. In this book, the seniors on the A-list are graduating and that means hanging out with friends, and going to parties. Anna is in a car crash and her dad sends his new intern Caine to come help her. Anna becomes good friends with Caine. Also things with Ben aren't doing that well, and they get into a fight at a party. Cammie tries to find out more about her moms death and Sam helps her by meeting up with her mom from North Carolina. Sam finally gets Eduardo back and they agree never to kiss anyone again, other than those two. Everyone goes to a girl from another school, Stefanie, and they set her up to get revenge, for what she said about Sam in the past. In the end they graduate and Anna chooses to hang out with Caine instead of Ben. Zoey really keeps her readers interested in this series.
So good

This is one of the best of the A-list novels. These books are so easy to relate to, and since I live in LA, I know every location that is talked about in the novel.
Awesome!!

I loved this book! I read it in two days(and I'm a slow-reader)! I thought it was great, but somehow I don't like what happens to Anna and Ben. They weren't together while he was with Blythe, his mistake was not to tell her in the first place... but we'll see what happens to them in the next book! But it doesn't come out until April... we will have to wait a long time, but I hope it's worth it!!
A-List 7: American Beauty
2006-11-04
So... Cammie and Sam try to find out whether her father really killed her mother, Anna thinks something is wrong with Ben and happens to be absolutely right, and Jack and Dee have a great relationship... or so it seems.
The only reason I gave it four stars was because it seemed kind of... I don't know... lacking. I usually have fun seeing what kind of reckless stuff the people do but this book didn't really have much in the wild and reckless department. It was kind of serious, more serious than the others.
The A-list, the guiltiest of guilty pleasures!!
2006-10-16
I have read the A-list from the beginning and there is one main reason why it became one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Two Words: Sam Sharpe. This is my favorite character, I just love they way she developed, her approach to things, her cynicism that hides a very emotionally troubled young woman. She is the less cliched of all the four main characters (Anna...classy, prim and proper Hampton girl, yawn..., Cammie the uberbitch always on the verge of redeeming herself and Dee the real LosAngelino character, with all her ingenuity, incense sticks and sojourns in the loony bin). These stories, developments and characters are totally unreal, but hey people, this is FICTION! And meant to be FUN! The characters won't cover their heads in ashes, donate their money to the poor and join Mother Teresa's nuns...It is so exaggerated that it is fascinating for a European like yours truly...
Only CAVEAT: I would actually NOT recommend this book to teens, because many of them could mistake it for reality, or set their goals way over the top.
Totally Awesome

American Beauty is the seventh guilty pleasure in this witty and risqu#142; series that takes readers behind the scenes of the Hollywood glitterati. Soon to be a major motion picture from Universal Pictures, The A-List and its bestselling sequels, Girls on Film, Blonde Ambition, Tall Cool One, Back in Black, and Some Like It Hot are full of unforgettable stories about the fast times of Beverly Hills' most beautiful and glamorous people.
I loved it

This was a really good book. I loved how zoey dean always ties in certain events with other events. I don't want to go into detail about the book, but zoey really knows what she is doing.
Good Book Through and Through

In American Beauty, Anna's boyfriend, Ben started acting all weird on her for a reason that Anna couldn't understand. Anna then started to hang out with her father's new and tattooed intern, Caine Manning who is just a friend. Sam concocts a shocking yet funny to snag Eduardo back and succeeds, but with a little help from Parker. Cammie confronts her dad in his Hermosa Beach office embarrassing him in front of his entire crew. She finds out more about her mother's death after asking her father by visiting Sam's mom. While this was going on, the BHH a-list attended a party held by their enemies, Pashima and Stephanie. Cammie, Sam, Dee, and Anna devised a plan for revenge. All in all, the seventh a list is an enthralling book with tons of suspense. (You don't really find out about Cammie's mom's death until near the end of the book)
