hefty but worth it

Got this b/c running IMAP with IDLE all day long exhausted the stock battery too easily.
After one month seems to work as advertized, roughly double the juice.
But man it is gigantic. And I'm not entirely convinced that the charge reporting on my cingular8525 is very accurate when the charge is low. But haven't been spending much time at low charge, which was the whole point ...
Just hope it will have a good long overall life, at least 18 months. Well worth the price if so.
Lost its appeal over time...

Pros: Decent battery life (compared to the standard battery) and the size increase actually provides some protection for the camera lens.
Cons: Bulky (which is to be expected) and the battery door doesn't fit as snugly as it should.
Detail: I was quite impressed with this battery at first. The long life far outweighed the added heft that came with the battery. But over time I started to notice something odd. Every now and then I would find my phone powered off. It didn't bother me at first but now it happens several times daily. I've come to the conclusion that the problem is a slightly loose connection between the battery and the phone. The extra battery life was supposed to solve my biggest gripe about the phone. Now, the new battery has become the biggest problem. Switching back to the stock battery isn't really much of an option since it goes dead within eight hours. I'm now in the market for a different phone altogether.
Works Great 2008-04-18
Great product at a great price. The battery last about twice as long as the original. The only thing that I can really find to complain about is the two of these I bought came with black cases NOT grey. Looking at the photo it looks like the seller played with the contrast to make it appear grey, notice how the battery's black lettering looks grey. The two I received came with BLACK covers. The sell needs to give more information about there products. This being said if I needed a third battery I would order another.
Finally, a battery that lasts almost 2 days!

The battery that came with my Cingular/AT&T 8525 over time would not last past 6pm as my phone is syncing email all day. This battery adds bulk, but the new cover matches the phone exactly, and I get almost 2 full days on a single charge. Very happy with this battery, especially given the price, great value.
Long lasting battery 2008-02-08
I have had this for almost a month now and this batter is awesome. My old battery would be very low after a day of using it for mostly text messaging. With whatever I want to do with this, whether it's messaging, internet, games, music. It seems no matter what, it will last me almost three days (Since I use it alot, the battery tends to last till the night of the third day but is very low.)
Great battery if you're regular one just isn't cutting it like mine was. It does add a bit of weight but once you get used to it, it is fine.
Definately a must for this phone.

Extend your talk time with a replacement or spare battery for your PDA. Just keep one resting in your cradle and it's ready whenever you need it. just pop it in your pocket or bag and you're good to go that extra mile at work, chatting with your friends or on the road. Can be recharged while in the phone or using the Cradle Kit.
Great battery, a little heavy but overall a good choice 2007-09-24
Battery is a little bulky, however for having double the battery life of the battery that comes with the phone it meets my needs. It also fits in most standard pouches (a little snug). If you are constantly running into the Battery Very Low message you'll enjoy this battery.
