SPECIAL NEEDS LEARNERS CAN ACHIEVE! |
|
Students with intellectual
disabilities require activities that challenge them at their level
of understanding. We've designed the activities in our
programs to cater for the unique learning needs of special needs
students.
To do this we've integrated symbols and speech into every aspect of
the program so students understand what is required of them to
complete an activity independently. Learners get instant verbal
feedback and a simple, clear layout helps keep them focused on the
task and puts them on the road to independent learning.

INDEPENDENT ACCESS FOR
ALL LEARNERS |
|
Independence is important for learners
of any ability.
Our choice of access methods means learners can interact with the
activities independently, regardless of their mouse skills. Choose
from three access methods - scanning (single-switch access), arrow
keys and mouse control. The built in scanning function uses the
mouse button or space bar. Our software is compatible with
IntelliKeys® and touch screen technology.

EVERY LEARNER CAN EXPERIENCE SUCCESS |
|
In our software
activities are designed to build upon and enhance existing skills.
Guidance to the correct answer lets
every student experience success. Each activity has 2 levels so
students can progress as their skills increase. We've used positive
verbal rewards to motivate and build confidence.

EVERY LEARNER HAS THEIR OWN SPECIAL SETTINGS |
|
Every special needs learner has
different requirements when it comes to computers.
Teachers and
instructors can change the look of our software at the click of a
mouse button. You can make our software appropriate for adults or
children simply by changing the screen appearance. Use coloured
screens to enhance visibility, reduce distractions or change to the
learner’s favorite colour as a reward. Adults with special needs
gain access to a program that fulfils their learning needs and looks
age appropriate.

SUCCESS BUILDS CONFIDENCE ! |
|
Our software offers children and
adults with an intellectual disability an opportunity to learn and
achieve at their own pace.
Being successful gives them the
confidence to try new things and learn new skills. And that’s
something that every learner should experience!
