boy finally exploring the koosh ball on its own

The first time this boy saw a 'koosh ball', he was terrified and wouldn't let it near him. He literally backed away, with his hands up to protect his face when the teacher brought it near him. As the morning progressed, he gradually became curious and started to explore it by himself, touching it gingerly with his fingers and watching it sway from side to side. I dare say by now he is probably holding it. A new experience like this one can build the confidence needed to explore other new things - in time of course.

young girl holding a koosh ball for the first time

The koosh ball is delightful to hold as it tickles your hand while you hold it. Its great for throwing and very easy to catch. JC is exploring the koosh ball for the first time, holding it one hand and then putting it in the other. The other students are looking on, waiting for their turn.
