Siva checking out the Chilean rainstick
Siva quickly learned that by tipping the rainstick up and back, it would make the lovely tinkling noise. This gentle soul had lots of fun with all the toys and only needed a little coaxing to join in the fun and games. The next day, during a music and movement session we had together, he showed us his dancing skills.

young boy building with picket blocks
Chow Lee is learning to use the picket blocks. Though his attention span is short, he was able to attend long enough to put a few blocks together - with a little help. Pattern blocks and 'pickets' can be used for a variety of maths activities and pattern making. Pickets develop fine motor skills while students build shapes.
