Title: Jenn's Adventure Part 21
“After all that, I think I’ve worked up quite an appetite!” I said, “I think we should go
over to the Pokemon Center for a huge meal. How about it, Vulpix?”
“Vuuuuulllllllll!!!! Yeah! Sounds great! Let’s go!”
“Hold it!!!” It was the officer I heard before!
“Yes ma’am?” I was a bit afraid, what if I’d done something illegal? I couldn’t think of
anything, but who knows? They change the laws all of the time.
“You aren’t going anywhere, not without your reward!”
“Reward?”
“You saved the people here from having their Pokemon stolen! Of course you get a
reward!” I was relieved. A reward is much better than jail. “For a reward, dinner and whatever
shopping you do here is on us!”
“Thanks, really, but I couldn’t have you do that.”
“Oh, but we insist!”
“Okay, in that case, all I’ll get is a Rare Candy for each of my Pokemon, some packed
food for on the way through Viridian Forest, a way to cook it, and dinner at the Pokemon
Center.” I knew that what I asked for was much less than they expected, but I’m not greedy
enough to take more than what I did.
After I got all of that shopping done, and we ate our meals, it was almost time for Tiff and
I to be getting back together. I ran to our meeting place and found her already waiting. She
looked very happy about something, but I decided not to ask her about it right away. Instead I
said, “Tiff, I think we should settle down for the night at the Pokemon Center. It’s getting too
dark to see and we won’t make it very far if we try to leave.”
“Sure, that’s what I was thinking. Let’s go.” she was humming to herself all the way to
the center.
Early the next morning, we set off for the Viridian Forest. We came upon the gate earlier
than we expected and kinda dosed off while the guard there yacked on and on about how
dangerous the place was. I jerked awake as he finnished his speech and we dashed out the back
door. We hadn’t gotten far when I spotted a Weedle.
“A Weedle!” I said to Vulpix and Tiff in a hoarse whisper. “I’ll catch it! Pokeball! Go!”
I threw the Pokeball.........
