Title: Midnight Calling
Darkest night reigns over Earth.
Fools laugh in their halls of blood
As dark forces whisper in their ears.
Another murderer does his deed.
Windows are smashed in
People fly in terror.
I stand backward watching
Yet not really seeing
Except in my mind's eye.
Listening to them mock the righteous
And stone the godly
Crucify the upholders of the Word.
Mocking words fill my head,
Doubts plague the Temple
They fly inside me
Trying to penetrate my soul
Never succeding but
Forever striving.
How I long for the day!
Return to us,
We await Your return.
How much longer will
We bear the brunt of the Earth
As it groans and mutters from
Under us?
Stewards appointed to watch
Following THE ONLY TRUTH
As it takes us around the Earth,
Founding countries and whole worlds.
There are always battles, death and strife,
Yet goodness and love,
Ending death forever.
Wondering and waiting until the day
Doth come unto us.
Oh woe, to the followers of man!
Searching for all the wrongs of Earth.
Truth-catchers proclaim the True Lord
Be they Muslim, Christian, Pagan,
Scientologist, Athiest, Mormon,
Cathlic, Protestant, or of
Unknown affiliation.
They wait with me for long.
Hark! The Dawn is coming fast!
And it is with a midnight call
That we'll be going home.
