Title: Celebrating Christmas around the world
A book called my speacial christmas adventure told me all about celbrating christmas around the world and he told me how each driffent county has their own drifent way of Celbrating Christmas.
So i thought you'd just like to know so im going to tell you all what the book told me.
How each driffent country celbrates christmas around the world in this book is true. so let get started shall we?
Each Christmas people of Norway send a Christmas tree as a gift to the people of England. The People of England and Norway call Santa Father Christmas. Stockings are hung up for Father Christmas to fill.
In Holland Santa delivers his presents on sinterklaas eve. Every sixth of december Santa vists on his white horse with his helper Peter. All the people in Holland welcome him and call him Sinte Klaas or Saint Nicholas.
In Europe they twinke with candlelight every day and night near christmas day to welcome friends and strangers.
There Santa is knowen as the Tomten and he goes from house to house saying 'It's the Tomten are there any good children living here?' as each door opens The Tomten (Santa) hands presents to the children.
In Germany they don't have santa to deliver an angel called the Christkindel delivers.
The Christkndil flies through the windows and rings a bell to warn the children to go bed while they sleep she fills their empty soup bowls with fruit and sweets for them to find on Christmas morning.
In the untied states Santa is knowen as Santa. Santa delivers by going through doors through windows and down chimneys. tkaing presents to the sleeping good children of the untied states
In New Zealand wich is also called the land of the long white cloud.
Santa fills up the good sleeping New Zealand Socks and Pillow cases and they put big presents carefully on the floor.
Not Least but last of all in Austraila we call Santa either Santa or Santa Claus.
Some of us put our names on our pillow cases so santa can remeber who we are but snata never forgets mainly the kids just do it for fun. But other Australian citzen don't put there on their pillow because they know santa knows who they are.
Also us Australian citzens get our presents deliverd under the chritmas tree nad we have chimmneys santa slides down them and delivers (i have a chimney) so i have to make sure not to light a fire or i'd be on the bad girl list.
But one thing the whole world does the same at christmas time is leave out cookies nad milk for santa.
