Chaptor 6: Fate Uncertain
Duvala entered the building. He sneaked past the guards and into the room where he was to meet Kowen. It actually wasn't in the building, but out. He sneaked out of the building and into the feild behind it. Kowen stood there, ready to hear and except whatever Duvala had to say. 'The concil of the Others,' Duvala began, 'decided for me to train you in the ways of the Unknown.'
'Why?' Kowen asked, 'I am nothing more than a boy.'
Duvala sighed. He was hiding something, Kowen could tell.
'The concil has decided not to waste your talent and I shall train you. It is as simple as that.' Then Duvala walked off. Kowen somehow had a feeling he should follow him. He probably shoundn't have for his safety, but that's just the way Duvala planned it. Kowen noticed he was headed toward Fire Canyon, were Ratora, and the rest of ther Phoenixes lived.
Sure enough, Duvala was headed straight for the palace of Raptora. Kowen could see the shiney gold lining.
'Wait here,' Duvala coumanded and entered the Palace. Kowen entered with him anyway. He couldn't get in so he watched from the top. They were both speaking to each other with enraged faces. Raptora took a swap at Duvala. He hit him clean in the face. Duvala fell to the ground. Raptora laughed and kicked the old bird. Duvala dissapeared. That would be the last time Kowen would see him ever alive again.
