Title: When Jason was 6 years old
When Jason was six years old, his mother asked him to help wash the dishes.
'But mom. I'm too little,' he cried back. 'Here, just wipe these plates,' she said. And without complaining, he did. He told his mother all about his day at school. After Thanksgiving dinner when Jason was ten, he had to help his grandpa was dishes. 'Why don't you and Grandma by a dishwasher?' Jason asked. His grandpa laughed. 'We have enough dish washers here already. You're one of them!' Jason smiled and talked with his grandpa about the fish they had caught that summer. When Jason was sixteen years old, he decided to save money for a car. He heard about a job opening at a local restaurant. They needed a dish washer. During the interview the manager asked, 'Have you washed dishes a lot?' 'Every night I can remember,' Jason said. The manager shook Jason's hand and said, 'You're hired.' In six months Jason bought his neighbor's old car for $1,000. He was so happy. Jason went to college when he was nineteen. His roommates hated to wash dishes. 'Why don't we buy a dishwasher,' they asked. 'If we all work together, they won't pile up,' Jason said. 'Just remember to wash them right after we eat.' They all agreed and soon bought a new TV with the money they saved. When Jason was thirty-three, he asked his five year old daughter to help wipe glasses. 'But Dad, why don't you use the dishwasher Mom bought?' she whined. He couldn't help but laugh. 'Trust me, we'll have fun.' She grabbed a towel. 'Well, I suppose. Do you want to know what we did in school today?' 'Of course,' he said. And she told him.
