Title: Raulph - Ch. 1

As I walked into the cave, I knew there was a risk of me dying in there. I tugged on the rope that suspended me in the air of the cave. It was kind of funny. My life was hanging from a string. Literally, too.

I never expected a ghost in there. I never expected him to be my friend. You see, I was lowered down to the floor of the cave. It was pretty dark with my flashlight. Why am I doing in here? You see, I work in the mines and we're thinking of checking this cave for an entrance to the mine about twenty feet away. So, the boss tells me, 'You're going down there and checking it out.'

And does he give me any support? Does he tell me, 'You're going to be safe.' Does he care? If he does, he wouldn't have let me go down here by myself.

I tossed the flashlight around with my hand to inspect the cave. There were greased walls slated with ice. I touched it with my bare fingertips and it felt cold and wet. Ice. I'm really deep into this cave. Anyway, I turn around, not expecting to see a person down there. But I did.
