Title: Hope

When you see that look in one's eye,
That look of hunger and fear,
You want to help so bad you cry,
And their life rolls away with each tear,

Deep within you know,
That someday he might be you,
You might depend on him to show,
How to live when fortune is few,

But you know you can't help everyone,
There's just too much hunger and hate,
If they give up they're surely done,
Warn them before it's too late,

For if they know hope's the crutch to live on,
Their luck might change for the better,
The times of despair will be done,
They will be hope-setters,

Next time you want to help,
An unfortunate person cope,
Let their dreams soar through the Alps,
Just tell them they need to hope,
