Title: FAQs for StoryTeller Book
What is it about?
We have had requests over the years for the stories on our site to be published in a book format. After 5 years of collecting great stories from all around the world, we have enough material to publish it in a mini book format. At this stage we forsee the books being published by topic and there will probably be a number of volumes per topic. We will probably start with 2-4 books first and hope to do new volumes every 3-6 months if the books sell well.
When will the books be published?
We are working with a company who is keen to publish the book on our behalf. It is a long and complex process and we hope to get the first volumes published by March, 2002.
How do you choose the stories?
We will select stories which have a rating of 4 or 5. We can probably fit around 100 stories per book. We will select the stories from across the years, for instance some from 1997, 1998, etc. So, if you are not included in the first print run, you may still be included in the next one.
We will limit the number of stories per author per book, so you may find yourself published in a number of different books.
Where can we buy it from?
You can buy the book directly from our site. As the book will be published by Dynamo House, you may also buy it from stores around the world that stock their products.
What topics will be published?
We'll start with Kids are Poets Too, Joke and Riddles and Great Stories About Anything.
What personal details will appear in the book?
The same details as you see on your story page.
What about copyright?
Copyright always belong to the original author but edbydesign.com reserves the right to publish it.
How are the profits from the book going to be used?
The funds that we expect to generate from the books will be minimal. Edbydesign.com is a free web resource for kids to use and the revenue that we generate from banner ads does not cover the server cost. We hope that the profits from the books will help offset some of our costs and time.
How will I know if my story has been chosen?
If your story has been chosen, you will see a message on your story page that says something like:
This story was published on Edbydesign.com StoryTeller book - Kids Are Poets - Vol 2.
