Washing Machine Overload

By Bonnie

It was a normal day in my house. I. It was in kindergarten was time for me to go outside to wait for the bus. With my baby-sitter Danielle. There was about 3 minuts of silence. Then Suddenly I heard "Ah! Ah! Ah! HELP!" And that is when the tragedy started. So Danielle ran back in side. And so I got on to the bus and went off to school.

Later that day I wondered why my mom was screaming. So during the day I narrowed it down to 3 choices. A. Washing machine. B. The Hairdryer. C. The stove. Then the time came, three o'clock. I went onto the bus anxiously wanting to know what happened.

When I came home, I rang the door bell, because ether the door is openedI saw the ceiling on the dining room table! There was water in one of the light bulbs! Also, I asked my mom what happened. She said, "the washing machine pipes broke, and that is why the floor is so wet and the house is a mess".

I ran upstairs, and felt my feet getting wet. So, I ran into my room and there was paper lying on the floor too. I noticed my stuff was not on the floor. Most of it was on my bed.

So then I was correct. The washing machine pipes broke. Now what would we do? I realized we would have to get a new washing machine and we would have to live without a washing machine and dryer for a couple of days.

When I saw the washing machine, I noticed that there was one more thing left inside. So I opened the door and took my shirt out. It was very heavy because it had a lot of water still in it. And since the dryer was broken, we air dried the shirt. Air-drying takes a long time. It was at that point that I realized it was time for me to go to bed. I said, "how could I sleep on my bed because there was my stuff on it?" So we moved my stuff, and I ended up sleeping in my bed.

The repairs for everything took roughly three weeks. Boy was I glad when it was all done!
