KAYLA’S DREAM
The Dream
Kayla if you don’t get a perfect score on that test i’ll take away your little sister! Kayla woke up sweating. It was only a dream she told herself firmly. Besides she had studied hard for this test. Anyway it was only a test. She reminded herself. Miss Larson had said that it was just to see how much they had learned.However she had a terrible feeling that something was to happento Lea ,her little sister, if she didn’t get full marks on that test. Lea was only six months old and in Kayla’s opinion she was the cutest baby in the entire world. Kayla if you dont hurry up you’re going to be late for school ! Kayla rushed down the stairs,wolfed down her breakfast,and calling goodbye to her mom on her way out the door, she left . When she got to school everyone else had started the test! Kayla! Exclaimed miss Larson you’re late! How unusual! I know said Kayla hanging her head. Well said miss larson take your test paper and get started. she hurried through the test not bothering to check her work.She had forgotten her dream,forgotten the warning, forgotten what could happen to Lea her wonderful Little sister. The next day the test results came out 30% was Kayla’s mark. She had never gotten such a low mark in a test . That day was a Wednesday . Every Wednesday Kayla’s mother went shopping. since Kayla was 11years old she was left alone with Lea on Wednesday . That day Kayla saw a car driving away from her street. She didn’t recognize it . She knew every car that came to their street she knew all the neighbors friends. Their street was a dead end so nobody usually drove past but sometimes People drove down it thinking that it was their friends street . Yes that must be it ,it was someone that got lost looking for their friends house.
