Title: A New Breed Of Pokemon
Goldenrod City was the biggest town I'd ever seen. Even the fat Hiker, who had towered over me throughout our battle, seemed tiny compaired to the buildings there.
A lot of things were so awe-striking you'd think you were going to faint. But nothing impressed me more than the Breeding House just outside the city. Run by a lovely old couple, trainers who wanted to have their pokemon breed could take them there. I couldn't resist looking inside. 'Welcome, welcome. We'll be happy to breed any pokemon you need,' the ancient lady recited the Breeding House's slogan with a perpetious grin on her face. 'Er, I'm kinda' just... sorta' browsin,''I said to her, trying to equal her smile on my face. 'What a sweet little child,' The lady remarked. She patted my head. 'The day will soon be upon you when you come of age.' Thank Goodness Mom had made me read Old English novels as a kid, or I wouldn't have understood. She thought I didn't have any pokemon. I complimented the state of the place, and asked where they kept the pokemon expected to breed. 'We keep them in the pasture outside. Pappa's there right now feeding them,' she chimed. I could only assume 'Pappa' was her husband.
Pappa, equally ancient, gave me a whole tour of the pasture, and kept my ears filled with his words. We became pretty fast freinds. He even let me feed the baby Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur, as he put it, was going to serve them as an experiment. 'How?' I asked. He smiled. 'We think that if we breed Bulbasaur with a Chikorita, the offspring will be a new pokemon.' I gaped. 'It will?' 'We're not sure.' He said. 'But we'd like to try. The only problem is we don't have a Chikorita for the part.' He drooped. They must have been planning this a while. But I smiled giddily. 'I have a Chikorita!' I announced, taking Chiko's ball from my belt. Pappa scrambled up and gently took the pokeball from my hands. 'We have our Chikoluba...' he mumbled in awe. 2 be continued...
