Nowhere to Run, By Sue Welford
A girl, by no falt of her own is friends secretly with the school bully, whom is not his falt only not wanting to be bullied himself from experiance and when the girl finds herself in a spot of trouble they deside to take the day off school and go to the beach where he tells her that with his father's job being tight, and having to move so much, that his father keeps scolding him
...and later on in the week, he runs away and she thinks she knows where he's gone, so she goes off after him with only £50, and leaves a note for her parents. She spends a night with a begger, only to find all her valuables gone, as well as the begger and with no sign of her friend, desides to search one more day for her friend and with no luck has no chioce but to sleep once again with the homeless, the naxt maorning, with only £5 she has some cheap breakfast, and with the rest of the money, rings her parents, who quickly come and pick her up, so when her parents arrive she is both happy and sad and by lucks most superier touch, she catches a glimps of her friend. Immediatly she jumps out of the car, runs up to him, both in supprise at seeing each other, they both have lunch with her parents. Then her parents drive her home and they smile at each other all the way!
